I know he played for rovers, but what a great player and top bloke, my thoughts are with his family at this sad time RIP Stuart.

Hadn’t heard this news but very sad. About my age I think.

Blackburn Rovers through and through but a good bloke.

RIP Mekky

A genuine bloke as mentioned, he once told me he thought there could be a chance of Burnley coming for him, and seemed genuinely interested at the prospect, as mentioned Rovers through and through, but at that time it made my day when Dobbo returned from Everton, Stuart later signed for Carlisle if i remember correctly. R.I.P. mate from a Claret.

I am very sorry to hear this. I thought he was a very good player and I'd been told by someone who knew him - one of the two Rovers fan I used to share with when a student - that he was a top bloke.

RIP Stuart.

RIP Stuart , I remember the rivalry from before the time Rovers were funded by tax avoidance

Slightly older than us, Tony, he would have been seventy in a couple of months.

Still too young to die, though.

RIP.
