Foden starts for City, big call by Pep shows he trusts the youngster in big games.

No Bale for Real obviously, but they do have some chap by the name of Hazard starting despite being an injury doubt.

At what point will these big clubs wake up and realise that playing it out from defence just isn’t worth the risk.

Who’s the better manager, Pep or ZZ?
There is not a hair between them for me.

As for Juve/Lyon....how on earth can you have a VAR decision like that at this stage of the Champions league. Brilliant tackle given as a pen. Embarrassing

4 City defenders ball watching, 2 RM players get a free run. Shocking.1-1

City's defence caught cold again, is it any wonder they're looking for replacements.

1-1 at Juve Ronaldo penalty, they still 2 to go through, but with him you've always got a chance.

Bizarre it's the hottest day of the year and yet they didn't have a drinks break in the City game, are the rules different in the CL.

When was the last decent defender that Guardiola purchased?

Give him a chance, he's only spent £320 million. Genius takes time.

The VAR official is having a mare in the Juve-Lyon tie he's awarded 2 penalties and both were never pens in a month of Sundays.

Laporte is supposed to be good by all accounts, but he's suffered from injuries, they definitely missed a trick in not signing VVD.

City have been dominant in the second half. I bet Varane doesn't go out for a pint in Madrid for a while.

Is this really Real Madrid or a bunch of impostors, shambolic defending again, and then they nearly concede a 3rd moments later.

Well done City, well deserved over two legs; I hope they go on and win it, if only to keep the red sides of Liverpool and Manchester quiet for a while.

City through to the quarters, can they go all the way, on that performance i'm not sure, but they'll surely fancy themselves getting past Lyon in the next stage.

It's not out of the question that both European trophies could be residing in Manchester in a few weeks.

City were by far the better team there, RM a bit flattered to only lose by 1 over the 90 minutes I thought.
City played very well certainly but you expect a bit more from a RM team.

Juve by far the better team than Lyon but out they go...

The ref and Var were essential to that result...
