Just switched on the tv and realised what I hate the most. Anything by Julian Felllowes. Fodder for the nepotistic, incestuous luvvie-fest that we have foisted on us routinely by lazy TV schedulers.

They clearly haven't passed their cycling proficiency test either. No mirrors on their bikes but they never once look over their shoulders to witness the massive queues behind them and then just pull off the road with no indication.TheOriginalLongsider wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 8:32 pmCyclists clad in Lycra with £2000 bikes! People who continually say " you know what I mean" at the end of every sentence when in a discussion/interviewed on TV.
How irritating init...... you know what I mean?
Also those who start a sentence with the phrase " It's like....." or "Me, personally....."
Phil Nevilles patently obvious, descriptive, monotone commentary of a passage of football.

On this hot night unable to sleep I've thought of another one.
The term 'Pre drinks'. This really pisses me right off. You aren't having pre drinks you're having a ******* drink you knob. I've even seen it shortened to 'prinks'.

'Respecting diversity'... I've tried this over many years and failed. Diversity doesn't respect what is being told to respect it. It's same as being in junior school in the 60's and repeated 'moral instruction' to 'put other people before yourself'. if you do that, you don't have a life.
It's the most banal meaningless Muppet phrase of the century.
I now have psychological rat runs in my head of debates and issues that wouldn't be out of place in the mind of a five years old child. Only my academic work saves my brain from almost total destruction.
it's the wilful attempt of the creation of an elite and an underclass by digital programming.

All the actresses and actors you see on TV who suddenly look different because they've all had their teeth veneered. They have ridiculously brilliant white teeth that are all supposedly the perfect shape, all it does is look unnatural, make them talk with a lisp and push their top lip out. Every time we watch a new series of something on TV my wife just says "Before you say anything, I know they've had their teeth done"

People who can't be bothered to learn to pronoune "th" footballers, southerners and townie thickos (or should than be fickos) are the worst with their free (three), fink, fank, etc, etc. It isn't a speech impediment, very are all just fick or like to sound fick!

Re: Modern Day Things That **** You Off
The use of 'Guys', grates on me.
Putting 'Super' in between already adequate descriptions, "The wind was super strong", "I was super busy", Grrrrr.
People who think because they are educated, can spell and use correct grammar it somehow makes them a good person and somehow superior. It really doesn't.
American pronunciations e.g. Skedule as opposed to Shedule. I know the spelling is schedule before some start spitting froth from their gills to point it out.
That annoying inflection in speech that make people sound like some American teenage cheerleader forever asking a question..."Once, when i was in band camp?..."
...reminded me of another Americanism that's rife, ending sentences with 'Right', "But we've checked the process right?", "We did have fun though right?". If you think it makes you sound cool, it doesn't.
Starting a sentence with 'So', that's a popular one i know but where did including it mid sentence come from all of a sudden, "it was so fun", "I am so missing you".
Grown men doing the floss dance even in jest, just NO!
The fascination with 'Celebs', Just don't get it.
The loony left, the loony right, the loony liberals.
Apologists.
and on and on and on....

Strictly Come Dancing.
Strictly Come Dancing continually referred to as Strictly
Most, if not all shows that propel completely talentless people into the Celebrity culture.
People with no talent being lied to on TV talent shows.
People being told they are really brave or are heroes when clearly out of context.
Edit - People who post stuff on Social Media using Ass instead of Arse!

Social media from the far right that introduces a homeless man as “Dave” - and recounts his service in the army, and how in his time of need, he’s unable to get a place to live or any benefits because “immigrants have taken them all!” “Share and like if you agree that Dave should get benefits and not immigrants!!!” As though it has to be one or the other, and not the government’s fault.
Lately those people who insisted “All lives matter” - but who now think we’re too lenient in saving the lives of people crossing the channel in leaky boats.

That’s a very poor brioche bap then. My wife makes (and has ) lovely baps.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 6:43 pmAnd served on a brioche fuckin bun that disintegrates at the mere sight of meat.
More than this though is food served on anything other than a plate. It’s seemingly trendy to serve food on bits of old roofing slate, scaffold boards and tiles.
People who wear hats inside.
The phrase “can I get” instead of “please can I have”
People who drop litter - this really f**** me off.
Loud people in restaurants - seriously shut the f- up.
Folk who complain in restaurants about how they make it better at home - stay home then you old trout.
Peoples obsession with filming everything and even those that go about daily business as if they are being filmed...
B&Q in Hinckley - they NEVER have what I want - sort it out.

People talking on their phones through their hands-free ear pieces. You know the ones. You think they're talking to you, so you answer and they look at you like you have three heads. So you ignore the next person talking and they actually were talking to you.

People using their phone on speaker phone mode holding phone at arms length, shouting into phone in a public place. Particularly behind me in the grocery store checkout lane. Oh hang on, that was pre-COVID days, now they're 2 metres behind me and I can STILL hear them loud and clear. Pi**es me right off, I have no interest in hearing anyone jabbering away
