Dyche Quote from tonight’s awards do...
“...There’s a one club mentality now at Burnley and it’s still there and it’s still solid, and it still gives us ground to work on for the future, so let’s see...”
Everything crossed but that was nice to hear!

Sounds positive.
Let us hope Mr Dyche stays with us and builds on the foundations he and his team started in 2012.

Love hearing that from The Boss. I simply cannot imagine him anywhere else. He is made for this club and the club is made for him. Beautiful, symbiotic harmony.
I would just like to see him given a little more money to work with for recruitment this summer.

He also talked about next season in a way that gave me the feeling he’d still be here.
Of course this may because he hadn’t had any interest from anyone he’d fancy over Burnley, but still good to hear.

Or it could be that it was a club occasion and spoke to fit that. I doubt any manager has ever announced they are going to leave at an end of season award night. I wouldn't read anything into what is, or isn't said on this kind of occasion, either way.

Palace look set to honour Hodgson’s contract extension.
Next summer will be the issue for Dyche and Burnley and our board will have to start to think about future proofing from now.

The short break between seasons must be to our advantage. If Sean was moving on then I would have thought he would have gone by now in order to give himself as long as possible to settle in somewhere new.

Agreed. I think the same could be said of outgoing transfers, albeit that will equally impact us from signing the players we need.
Think we are also helped by lack available roles. Realistically, Dyche has only 19 other potential employers, less those he might not consider more attractive than Burnley. As things stand, they all have managers for next season, but that can change quickly. That's where things become a risk and the best way we can protect against that is to get the players Dyche wants and then offer him a decent new contract before the season starts.

Even if he were to go at least we'll have another season in the Prem after this one!

As far as I'm aware he already has a very decent contract. That shouldn't come into it.

As I've been sayng for months, Sean's going nowhere. He hasn't finished building his dynasty yet.

“It’s not that we think we cannot improve with transfers, we do what is right for us and what we are able to do, that’s all. The club cannot buy just because other teams buy and (because) everyone wants us to. We buy if we have the money for it and the need for it. If one of these things is not there we will not buy, and we will go again. And we will not use it as an excuse.”
- Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool ended their chase for Leipzig's £54M striker Timo Werner. He has also talked about needing to be “creative” in the transfer market and “finding solutions internally”, rather than spending big this summer.
Sound familiar??

Yep! People may have the wrong impression of Liverpool. They don't have a bottomless pit of money. Sure. They have more money than us but they have to balance the books and some players will have to go in order for players to come in. They cannot compete with City, Man Utd or Chelsea financially. Klopp has just been far better at recruitment.bfcmik wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 7:36 pm“It’s not that we think we cannot improve with transfers, we do what is right for us and what we are able to do, that’s all.
