Re: Valencia
With the exception of one player I read.
That's a grim thought if you're a Valencia fan.

Re: Valencia
Owned by the same billionaire that is the major shareholder at Salford City - their reign at Valencia has been chaotic to say the least - the fans are have been voicing their anger for quite some time

Interesting piece in the guardian about it for those who were unaware of the issues

Re: Valencia
Wait, so did Gary Neville get the Valencia job simply because of his involvement at Salford? I thought they hired him because he flaps his lips on Sky better than most others, and did a bit for England for a minute, but hiring a mate with zero experience from the other club you're involved with somehow seems worse. What's the timeline in all this?

Re: Valencia
Was Phil Neville coach there at some point as well?
Re: Valencia
No, no, I remember Neville mentioning it was a difficult decision for him to make, but that's a frankly insane ownership model/practice! I'm finding Mike Garlick and buying him a round. Optimist, and all that. Anyone know what tunes he likes?Chester Perry wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 10:39 pmIt must be said that Neville didn't ask for the job abd had to be coaxed into it - I thought all that was well known

Re: Valencia
Not a big Gary Neville fan ordinarily but his interview on Joey Bartons podcast explains the Valencia situation. HE was very honest in saying he wasnt good or motivated enough. Fair play.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 10:39 pmIt must be said that Neville didn't ask for the job abd had to be coaxed into it - I thought all that was well known
Re: Valencia
If Valencia are in the hole like this, imagine what other clubs are like, should be easy pickings for PL teams.
