Just swapped the toilet seat for a cushioned one and installed a 21 inch TV on the wall. Sorted for the last twenty minutes of most burnley games now.

Given that season ticket sales were suspended in March I would think there the query is hardly about to get a positive answer.

Sales were suspended but you still have to pay each month to keep your seat (assuming you're paying by direct debit of course)

Simple fact is that if it is reduced capacity then the club will determine which seats can and which seats can't be used. That's how it is likely to be and you won't be able to go to every game once they allow people back in.

Any chance of the club suspending DD's then if it's known we wont get to see some, if not most, the games we are paying to see?

I recall them saying you could suspend but once it was clearer, they wanted the money in one go but the situation is a bit more definite than when they last offered it.

What we know is;

- Season starts 12/9/20
- ST holders will have paid in full, or if on the 12 mths ST plan, will have paid 4 months - with the 5 being taken in August.
- There are no stadiums being opened up for supporters to attend until at least 1/10.
- This means the earliest point before we see a game will have meant that we have paid for 6 months

My questions was that whether the club were planning to suspend DD payments given that they have a better idea of what is happening?

I don’t think there is an intention to suspend but once the season kicks off I think there need to be some quick refunds made if only on a match by match basis.

If the office will know then it may be worth asking them.

The events that we have experienced and lack of getting to see a live game makes the question probably low priority on the list of things the club are doing at the moment.

There are people that have cancelled who I think will have the chance to pay up for the season once things start back up. Therefore logistically it may be difficult to identify what seats are/are not available at the moment.

You shouldn't have an issue in swapping when things do open back up though would be my guess.

Those people who suspended their payments have been guaranteed their seat once the system is re-opened. So no seats are available until they contact the former seat holder again to pay up or lose the seat. I have already informed the club (when we had to renew) that I wished to have the seat by me for my grandson should it become available.

I’m in a similar position where I’d like to get an additional seat next to me for my boy - but until they go on general sale I won’t know whether the people around me have all renewed.

Why should anyone be entitled to a refund? People knew what they were signing up to! If you're going to complain over a few quid maybe you shouldn't have got a season ticket in the first place. No doubt the ones complaining are the ones who got their ticket on 'tick'

I missed numerous games last season due the club agreeing to play Sundays and working Sundays. I wasn't entitled to a refund??? Why do the club bow down to these dictators!

Games being moved to Sunday are part of the game, something you know when you buy a season ticket. Games played behind closed doors or with reduced numbers prevents season ticket holders from attending. That’s totally different.

You not being able to attend a game due to your personal circumstances is quite a bit different to not being able to attend because the stadium is closed to the public.

Exactly, everyone knew they wouldn't be able to attend numerous games next season due to CIRCUMSTANCES! If you can't support the club in times like these then don't bother at all!!

I pay for mine on the DD scheme - purely for the convenience of never having to worry about renewing etc.

If there was interest being charged on it, that would motivate me to pay up front, but given there isn't any additional cost to spread payments, nor
any incentive or discount to pay up front then I don't see any incentive to give all my money up front.

I asked about suspending the payments and I am not particularly wanting a refund at this stage.

There is a huge difference to choosing not to attend a live event. I have my season ticket knowing that the travel to Burnley and real life events will mean I miss anything up to a quarter of games, but if I could have attended my seat was there waiting for me.

However, if BFC, to comply with any government or safety authority rules, cannot offer me the seat I have paid for then they have to reimburse me for that. Given that ticket income is a relatively minor part of the club's income stream it will not hurt as much as, say Villa will feel, should all payments have to be refunded. - Bigger grounds = more season ticket holders = more lost revenue.

Russia have said they have done this, I don't know if this is true, or not. It's not uncommon for medicines to need approval in the country it is being used so if we assume they have found a vaccine, it doesn't mean that it will be available to us in this time, or that the UK will approve it.

Medicines have to be approved and tested before they are allowed. Given 1st October is when the government is the current date to start attending events currently - this can change still. Given that Pendle and Burnley and Blackburn and the surrounding areas are all high on the list of hotspots, I think its even more unlikely that we will be in before October.

It's been explained by several posters - there is a big difference between you not being able to go because the game is on a Sunday and a supporter not being able to go because it's not allowed due to the game being behind closed doors or limited capacity.

I didn’t renew mine before the sales were suspended as it struck me as spending money on something I was unlikely to get.

I can’t remember if the suspension of sales came before or after the deadline, but football was shelved indefinitely before the deadline, so no respectable business could expect you to pay for something you didn’t know you could use.

I’m fully expecting to be given the chance to reclaim my seats when things return to normal. I’ll be seriously annoyed if I’ve lost my seat.

Didn't the club ask you to renew then cancel for this to qualify?

No idea, but I wasn’t ever paying for something that didn’t appear to have any value at the time (and it’s now clear that it didn’t).

When the club eventually resume season ticket sales fully, it should start with the opportunity for last seasons’ holders to renew their seats.

I pay for mine on direct debit so have continued to pay, now a third of next season's paid for. The cut off date, under normal circumstances, for early bird season tickets would have been 31st March but on 24th March the club confirmed that early bird prices would continue for the foreseeable future. I don't think there's been any change to that.

I would hope all those who haven't been able to renew would not lose their seats. I've already asked the club that should any season ticket holder not be able to go at all next season because of the circumstances, that their seat would still be available for 2021/22 season. Hopefully they will respond positively as a number of other clubs have already done.

Thanks. I’d imagine they’ll make reasonable efforts to look after season ticket holders. Fingers crossed.

Personally think the club should adopt the ‘don’t pay, take it away’ approach.

Given that nobody knows when, or how, or how many, supporters will be allowed back inside football stadia to watch live football, and that it isn't within BFC's power to make such a decision, it seems reasonable to me to continue with my direct deposit. I was given 100% of my payment back for the 2019/20 games we were not permitted to attend after Project Restart and I have every faith that I will be further reimbursed for any 2020/21 season fixtures I am not permitted to attend.
