How long have they been involved with Rovers now?
Does anyone know how much they have lost with them?

Re: It's coming fellas!
The take over was announced on 19th November 2010, with the BBC reporting it as a £43m deal, £23m purchase price to the " Walker Trust " , and taking over debt of c £20m. Rovers were 11th in the EPL table that weekend. The Company had only one share, until an allocation of 35,610,000 shares on 27th April 2011 costing the Venky family £1 each.
Since then, they've issued more shares ( ie: pumped funds in ), all at £1 each, and the issued Share Capital now stands at £184,067,219 !! Since 1st August 2019 alone, they've invested £18,958,988 ..... My best guess is that Rovers have cost them £200 - £230 million !
The frightening thing is that if they'd kept Sam Allardyce in place, retained their well respected Chairman, John Williams and Managing Director Tom Finn, and just invested say, £7m per year, Rovers may well have been a permanent fixture in the EPL. The Venky's would have been heroes and held up as model owners ...

It has indeed, rowls, and I hope the Rovers/Venky's alliance continues to haemorrhage money and enjoy very limited success in a mediocre division for as long as possible.
Unlike Bolton, a club I'd be quite happy to see slipping out of the League as soon as possible, I'd prefer to see Rovers suffer a sustained slow and painful ordeal.

Indeed .... rare high comedy on occasions !!
All they needed to do was issue the order " Carry On ", and do a passable impression of young Mr Grace from " Are you being served ? " ie: visit Ewood every 6 months, press the flesh and exclaim, " You're all doing very well !! " , whilst writing a couple of cheques a year !!
However, they knew best ...

Re: It's coming fellas!
From the perspective of one of the wiser posters on brfcs.. Whilst the others blithely grumble that not enough money is being spunked this year.
"" "Their Rovers' 'project' is now most likely pushing £200million factoring in acquisition costs and loans.
There will come a 'tipping point' - it's almost inevitable as I very much doubt they will continue to throw in some £20million every year (throwing good money after bad). In the past, we've seen the likes of Hayward, Davies and Whelan all call time on their clubs - it happens.
IMO, and I've said this for a number of weeks now, the noose is tightening. ""
The only reason for the current stay of execution can only be lack of anybody wanting to take the debacle off their hands... This last dribble of cash funding can only be aimed at preserving the corpse of the club as a viable saleable concern.

Those who recall might remember the word of 2010 was "serviceable".
As in, "the debt is serviceable as long as we remain in the Premier League."

Bolton always used to say they'd be fine cos Eddie would look after them.
I don't think they quite understood the fact that people get old.
Rovers fans were looking forward to be restored to their rightful place in football when Venkys took over.

In cuisine parlance. I guess it's hard to brag about having a McDonalds for lunch when you've got used to Venison. Then seeing your rival who used to eat Pot Noodle, sat in a Michelin 3 star restaurant washing his Venison down with a cheeky vintage red.

They said they would fund Allardyce but then sacked him in December, replacing him with agent Kean. Williams and Finn walked and I believe Williams played a key role then in us getting Mee & Trippier.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 7:43 pmThe frightening thing is that if they'd kept Sam Allardyce in place, retained their well respected Chairman, John Williams and Managing Director Tom Finn, and just invested say, £7m per year, Rovers may well have been a permanent fixture in the EPL. Re: It's coming fellas!
Rovers are the only club allowed their crest on their home corner flags, an honour supposedly bestowed on them by the FA for winning the FA Cup three times in a row back in the mid-1880s.
Personally, I like little traditions like that - but clubs do it these days

Re: It's coming fellas!
Some breathtaking logic from brfcs financial wizards.
Take £10m to the lav and flush it away. You know it makes sense!!
"" "Venky’s continuing to put the money in makes perfect sense!
They run a conglomerate worth upwards of 2 billion. Part of that conglomerate, and that value is their £200 odd million shareholding in BRFC.
They liquidate Rovers tomorrow, that wipes £200 million plus off the value of VH group.
We need a £10 million signing, they move some money around, send it over to Rovers account, and in a month or two convert it to an extra 10 million shares. They lose nothing.
Obviously in real terms the club is not worth north of £200 million, but it has that value to them. This isn’t food off their plates, rollers out of their garages or the chains of Balaji’s neck. It’s certainly not altruism either. It’s common sense for billionaires."" "

For example, if I were to do my own grocery shopping I'd have to pay for it myself.
But if I give my wallet to somebody else and ask them to spend my money at the supermarket for me, it doesn't theoretically cost me anything yet.
I'm just waiting for the nice man to return with my shopping and my wallet. I'm sure he'll be able to make his way back to me soon because I gave him my PIN code too so to save me even more money. In the end, it's a zero equation.
Makes perfect sense.
