That's on a par with the loss of Neil Peart last year for me. The short spell of 5 albums starting with Phenomenon and ending with the Strangers in the Night double album was as good as it gets. Often you get a single album packed with quality tracks and not filled up with a couple of duffers, but not five whole albums one after the other. Fantastic live performer(s) - even on the nights when Phil Mogg was in one of his tetchy moods.

One of the first bands l ever saw live. Blackburn king George's hall in 1980. Strangers in the night is the best live album ever IMO. Great band and great bass player and showman. I sign of age when your heroes start dying off l guess. RIP Pete Way.

First band I ever saw prob around 81 at Preston Guild Hall. Always loved the live album.
