Bayern Munich v Lyon
0-0 after just over 10 mins.
Bayern have to be favourites but you never know.

1-0 Bayern. If this game carries on like this it’s going to be special.

I’d normally shout for Lyon but they wouldn’t beat PSG and I don’t want them to win it under their current ownership.

2-0 now. That should ensure Bayern in the final. Another for Gnabry although this one a much easier finish.

First time in 29 years no clubs from Italy Spain or England not in the final 4. Good to see a bit of variety for a change.

The opening 30 minutes reminded me of Hagler vs Hearns where they just slugged it out........Hagler (Bayern) are now landing punches at will. Hope they smash PSG in the final.....can't stand Neymar and co.

Should do but really Lyon had enough chances in the 1st 20 or so minutes to have been 2 up!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 8:34 pm2-0 now. That should ensure Bayern in the final. Another for Gnabry although this one a much easier finish.

That phrase ‘small margins’. Lyon hit the post not much more than a minute before Bayern took the lead.

That should have been 2-1. Good goalkeeping from Neuer but really should have scored.

Nice to see actual domestic league Champions contesting the Champions league final for a change.

Good game to watch, German efficiency at it's finest
Looking forward to the final, a 'real' club vs 'plastics'. Also looking forward to seeing Canadian lad Alfonso Davies collecting a winners medal

The one player PSG have is Mbappé as a ruthless goal scorer, so it might be closer than you think.claretburns wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 8:53 pmBayern surely through to the final now and should be an easy win over PSG in the final.

Re: Bayern Munich v Lyon
That was easy for Bayern in the end, but Lyon could have made it tricky, Lewandowski kept up his incredible run, his form is crazy this season.
Bayern should win the final, but PSG have the firepower to trouble them, should be a good open final hopefully.

97/98 Juve vs Real. That's staggering when you think about it.

Re: Bayern Munich v Lyon
No doubt I will be eating humble pie, but as a organised side, Bayern are much stronger than PSG, add to this Mbappe is not fully fit, I can see it Bayern to win, hopefully with many goals but can't see Mbappe troubling Bayern so much this time.

Re: Bayern Munich v Lyon
I'd never have thought that - and they actually changed the name from the European Cup to the CHAMPIONS League yet champions don't feature too much in the final.
Re: Bayern Munich v Lyon
Bayern don't look great at the back to me. Should be a good game on Sunday, 2 attacking teams who can't defend that well.
Re: Bayern Munich v Lyon
Regarding how good Bayern are at the moment, especially going forward, how many of Man City's side would get in their team?
Obviously KDB and Aguero, and Sterling at a push, but I can't think of anyone else.
