In car entertainment
Please excuse my ignorance of 'how things work' but I would appreciate some guidance / advice on a car's music system. I recently bought a newish car that has no CD player as this has been sacrificed for a system that includes a Sat Nav,, convoluted radio and several other things I don't want or understand. I miss the CD and do not want the current system of MP3 Player?
My question is are there personal CD systems that can be adapted to the car's system without the use of ear pieces which seem as though they could be distracting / dangerous? A personal CD I have seen on sale includes a 'Micro USB Power input' ( but no lead included.) Is this something that can be adapted to a car's power system?
Thank you for any advice.

I believe Stephenson’s Rocket had some sort of stable table set up for the upcoming invention of the wax cylinder/gramophone which you might want to investigate.

They can be hooked up, but they'll be susceptible to cutting out with every single bump in the road.

Don’t be afraid of technology! Nobody uses CDs now. You just connect your phone , use Spotify and select whatever music you like.

Spotify has free versions.
Re: In car entertainment
You can certainly install whatever system you want. There'll be someone at a local reputable garage who knows electrics.claret59 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 9:33 pmPlease excuse my ignorance of 'how things work' but I would appreciate some guidance / advice on a car's music system. Re: In car entertainment
Is there a slot to insert a pen drive? I saved my CDs to that and play them in the car.

Thank you for the helpful replies. The more sarcastic ones did not disappoint as a sample of them were expected.

Mp3? Where am I 1998?
Re: In car entertainment
Easy one this. Ask a younger relative to sort it next time they're round .claret59 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 9:33 pmPlease excuse my ignorance of 'how things work' but I would appreciate some guidance / advice on a car's music system.
