Pre-season Friendlies
Just had a check on who was playing today and can see Everton are 3-0 down at Blackpool after 15 minutes and the Everton team is:
Pickford
Brathwaite
Calvert-Lewin
Davies
Digne
Gordon
Holgate
Iwobi
Kean
Kenny
Sigurdsson
To say Blackpool haven't played since March, competitively and Premier League only finished a few weeks ago, not all is looking good on the blue half of Merseryside.

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
I know pre-season friendlies can throw up some weird scores, but even so that's a shocking start for the Toffees, one thing though Michael Keane can be absolved of any blame, I guess they'll be a few changes at HT, to give the rest of their squad a run out, Pitchfork shipping goals again, how long can he remain 1st choice at Goodison.claretburns wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 3:15 pmJust had a check on who was playing today and can see Everton are 3-0 down at Blackpool after 15 minutes and the Everton team is:

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
A baptism of fire for Stephen Ward at Ipswich, 3 down to Spurs after only 30 minutes. A brace for Son.

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
So England's number one shipped 3 to a L1 team, that hardly builds confidence ahead of Southgate's squad announcement.

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
I'm not one to take much notice of results in friendlies, obviously it's nice to win though
Re: Pre-season Friendlies
Michael Jackson, manager of Tranmere, has just mentioned in an interview that they will be playing us in a friendly. Alex James from Lancashire Live has just tweeted the info.

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
Liverpool starting the way they mean to go on, a 3-0 win over Stuttgart, they're relentless aren't they.

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
I had a list and they weren’t on it. Assume it will be an additional game. Will be interesting organising friendlies though with Football League clubs all playing on 5th & 12th Sep.
Re: Pre-season Friendlies
Pulled it back to 3-3

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
How strange and they kept a clean sheet then, I'm sure there's no connection between the two whatsoever.

Re: Pre-season Friendlies
I always went to pre-season friendlies and we were always crap getting beat by the likes of Southport but it was a day out with a bit of footie. I can remember Rocky waving a bin about shouting we were rubbish, probably the Southport match, but who cares.

If you mean Tranmere, it came from their manager.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 12:01 amSurprised you didn't shoot it down seeing as its from Lancs Live
