Burnley v Newcastle 1960
Not giving the scoreline as it will ruin the excitement.

Re: Burnley v Newcastle 1960
A nostalgic watch, thanks, two poor defences turned up on a typical muddy Turf Moor. Adamson and Blacklaw didn’t cover themselves in glory!
Re: Burnley v Newcastle 1960
Couldn’t agree more. Our current defence looks a million miles better than that. The game has moved on hugely hasn’t it? Everyone looked to be moving in slow motion partly because of the pitch it must be said.

Love to see City play on that pitch or indeed any modern team.

The number 10 for Newcastle (right at the end of the video) has the exact same running style as Mike Conroy.

Surprised to see Harris playing in 1960, where was Pilky? I think he played in both the 60/61 European ties.

Re: Burnley v Newcastle 1960
Brian Pilkington scored v Hamburg at the Turf in Nov 60 but had joined Bolton? before the 2nd leg in March 61 where 'Bomber' Harris scored our only goal in the defeat. Had Pilkington moved by the beginning of '61 perhaps?
