Conversations with a Grandson

Post by Claret Toni » Thu Aug 27, 2020 9:32 pm

Thought I'd share this discussion with my 7 year old grandson whose dad is changing his car.

Knowing my grandson, like lots of young boys is fascinated by supercars, I started with:

"What's it to be then, a Lamborghini, Ferrari or McLaren".

He's very grounded and replied, "They cost millions Grandpa, and our family can't afford one of them. We're getting an Aldi".

It's an AUDI, said his dad.

Reminds me of my step son when he was about the same age. He was Lactose Intolerant and one day he proudly blurted out when the discussion had turned to dairy products. 'I'm black toes and taller'.
One which I still use to this day myself as a smoker. He used to call cigarettes 'Rigrats'. I still say 'I'm off to smoke a Rigrat'
They do come out with some belters.

They've really stepped up their seasonal collection since I was last there. I thought it was always just socks and underwear.

I remember reading a while ago of a little boy asking his Grandma if when she died does she want to be planted or burnt
