Stairway to Heaven is a great track but Led Zeppelin were so much more than that.
They certainly are my Favourite all time LZ track...

When I need to chill after a stressful day there is nothing better than the relaxing sound of David Sylvian's voice
https://youtu.be/x1YkHJJi-tc
never heard that or of him before, I think I will need to hear it a little more before a final decision

as for voices this guy I like to listen to and the fact that he is very easy on the eye can only help for me

they are all tough days Steve but fortunately I don't get to stressed out about anything, hubby trying to make me a soft boiled egg does it every time though :)

Another old favorite of mine I like to listen to, usually in the car but have it playing right now, quite loud as am alone for a couple of hours and I like this extended version.

never a big fan of Joan or Bob, but over the years I have come to really appreciate what a talent is that is Bob Dylan, truly one of the greats for me who changed the face of music.

I would never have thought about listening to Joan but that was excellent and on the list to go to the IPod, thank you :)
Joan is fantastic- as is Joni

This band isn't called Japan, but they are the biggest rock band in Japan - albeit with a French name.

L'Arc-en-Ciel with their live 2015 concert L'Ar CASINO

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JjmCSm ... e=youtu.be

I preferred the first half which was more in line with their output as P'unk-en-Ciel. Which explains Hyde wearing the eye patch. He looks a lot younger than 46 and his voice is still fantastic, unlike other older rockers such as Axl huff n puff Rose. Although you can clearly see the Guns N Roses influence in a lot of his moves.

The opening set up is well worth a watch, but skip to 11:00 if you want to get straight to the music.

Was new to me too. That whole album is fantastic - mix of styles - broadly indie/rocking. Try little battles

David Sylvian (and Japan), just great, mellow and beautiful.

I can't think of any singer who does covers better than Bryan Ferry

19 things The Matrix predicted about life in 2019 from 1999!!

https://www.vulture.com/2019/02/what-th ... -2019.html

Ohhh how I wanted to be like Trinity back then lol

surely should be the original words Morpheus asked asked Neo regarding the pills, definitely should have been the song playing :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdoLcgx ... DZevgSSYoV

One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you, don't do anything at all

Go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits, and you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar has given you the call

And call Alice, when she was just small

When the men on the chessboard get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom, and your mind is moving low

Go ask Alice, I think she'll know

When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead
And the white knight is talking backwards
And the red queen's off with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
Feed your head, feed your head

I had a bit of a surprise to find that one of the tracks on "a good year" (one of my favourite films being a solid europhile) was our very own madge singing "moi..... Lolita." I'd put up a link but I'm on a mobile.

I suppose the bigger question though is, where in the hell do you find a 1974 Dodge Monaco Police Special in Italy??

Anyone who’s a fan of The Strokes. Just found this gem. Radio session December 2000, 6 months before their debut album was released. The last great album made in nyc before it lost it’s innocence.

Cardigans and Garbage certainly not one hit wonders. Released quite a few belters between them.
I was just about to say that. Both good bands with plenty of hits.
Been catching up on Pearl Jams back catalogue through tidal. I'd heard 10 but hadn't listened to all their other albums. Excellent rock band.

Michael Kiwanuka has won the Mercury Prize. His song 'Hero' reminds me so much of Hendrix version of all along the watchtower. Very very talented.

Saw him last year at Pohoda. Cold little heart followed by Love n Hate was quasi religious

 I thought you meant Roy Orbison for a nano second

I have made the obvious progression to the Traveling Wiburys, so so good listening to them again

I will check out the link/song later :)
