Where will we finish next season
And the answer is not Bramall Lane before any wags post it.
I'll put my head on the block and go for 15th, it'll be tough as always, but we'll have enough nous to see us over the line again.
As ever the key games for us will be the 6 pointers against the other bottom half teams, and we generally fare well in these vital battles.

... Bramall Lane on 23rd May 2021 with the title.
Still a long way to go.

Re: Where will we finish next season
If the top clubs get their way at the shareholders meeting tomorrow and manage to push through the "5 substitutions allowed ruling" for the coming season it will become much tougher for the smaller clubs to compete. Over a full season those clubs with the better quality players and larger squads will have an even bigger advantage.

It annoys me to say - below Leeds.
They will spend, spend and spend more to finish above us.

If that happens I will personally donate £1000 to whatever charity you like. And I'm serious - bump the thread.

Clarets youth or whatever it was called that we did loads of fundraising on this message over the years.
I am sure CT will know how best to support BFC.

Re: Where will we finish next season
I doubt it takes a brain surgeon to figure out the next season will be our toughest to survive, other than the first under Dyche. The incoming clubs are far stronger, on paper, than the departed. In Dyche......and commitment to team spirit....... we trust. Anything north of 18th works well for me.

Far too early to make guesses about where we will finish. We don't even know who will be playing for us.
Come back after the transfer window closes.

CT would also be able to inform you where it goes and what a difference it could make.
Easily 5,000 of various tins/none perishables available in Asda for £1,000

12th - 14th depending on signings
Re: Where will we finish next season
14th or 15th. Clubs will spend and strengthen. We won’t do enough of either. Will be happy to have another season of PL football. Would like to finish above Leeds.

I'll offer my usual lack of optimism.
Relegation for us, a difficult start, more injuries and our miraculous stay - much longer than I imagined - will be over.

Re: Where will we finish next season
I think most if not all, but certainly any three of the following will finish below us. Leeds, Sheffield United, Fulham, Brighton, WBA, Villa, Palace, Newcastle.
Southampton are only a Danny Ings injury away from relegation IMO and Leicester need to re find there spark plus Vardy ain't getting any younger. Everton are ridiculously inconsistent.
So I'll confidently go for somewhere between 8th and 12th

Re: Where will we finish next season
I was asked this question by the Observer this week - on the basis that the manager always wants us to improve season on season, I've gone for 9th. It will be tough but it's about time we realised how decent a Premier League team we have. The only players we've lost, according to people on this board, weren't good enough anyway so any new signings can only strengthen us.

Top 10
Why so tough to survive?
Not lost any key players and we do the biz every year. The 3 who came up will finish below us

13th according to 442 magazine; just 1 place behind superLeeds

I'd be happy with that but, with a following wind, maybe sneaking in the top half again.

They can buy as many as they like but it doesn’t necessarily mean they will bond with each other or form a whole.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 11:02 pmIt annoys me to say - below Leeds.

I’d like us to finish mid-table and above Leeds.
