Shambles of a club. Would like to hope Tarks is sensible enough not to go there!

Posted on the Tark thread. Strange club where the fans want to play the 'West Ham way' whatever that is and have a board who just throw money at the problem like confetti. There's no plan on or off the field. No real cohesion. They play like a group of individuals rather than develop a team. They often sign talented players but never address the structure of the squad as a whole going forward.

The “west ham way” is what they call the road leading to their ground.BenWickes wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 5:52 amPosted on the Tark thread. This can be the only explanation as they have never had a style of play just a deluded fan base

My wife’s brother and cousins are all West Ham fans. They’re all good lads. In 10+ years, I’ve never heard any of them say ‘the West Ham way’.
Down here in Kent, all I see is West Ham shirts. More than any other club.
They are a big, big club, and with proper management behind them, could and should go much further. The Olympic Stadium has been a shambles and constantly hiring and firing managers hasn’t helped.

There is a lot of potential in West Ham... they just need a manger who can be left to just get on with his job to make the decisions about what happens on the field.
Instead, the board give the managers random, overpriced players and let them solve the puzzle, but then sack them if they don’t get the results.

Re: Mark Noble criticises WH Board over Diangana sale
There is a huge potential there but difficult to see it being realised under the current structure
I think Moyes has done a really good job there under very difficult circumstances but it's telling that despite all of their supposed appeal they can't attract a manager of the calibre of say Rodgers or Ancelloti when on face value they ought to be around Leicester or Everton's level
I know there was talk of Dyche being unsettled over the summer but could never see him, or other established PL managers, working in that environment

Is Rodgers better or worse than Manuel Pellegrini?
Re: Mark Noble criticises WH Board over Diangana sale
I think Mark Noble might need reminding that although he’s captain (at the minute, at least), he isn’t the one pulling the purse strings.
