Which is fair enough. I suppose my point is what would we as supporters have to gain by being given more notice? I suspect there’s a reason why the game wasn’t publicised.

Good to see Tarkowski putting an appearance in after the chat on here in recent days. Looking forward to the Leicester game in a few weeks time. I thought this shorter preseason would fly by but it's not done for me so far.

I've seen a lot of him over the past three seasons. I wasn't sure at first but he's come on enormously in the last 18 months or so. Big, tall lad, proper centre half height for the Dyche head and kick it. Been really impressed with him since he stepped up into the u23s because of injuries.

I wouldn't have been there today had it been normal world but I'm going to miss the trips down there for youth team games and don't know how things will be with the u23s at Leyland.

I spoke to him early last season at Curzon when he was out injured and sat in the stand. Came across really well.
