17 - Oldham Athletic

18 - Port Vale

19 - Preston North End

20 - Rochdale

21 - Salford City

22 - Sheffield United

23 - Sheffield Wednesday

24 - Stoke City

26 - Wolves

It's unseeded so we could get anyone of those teams listed.

3rd round draw is also tomorrow, but that's not regionalised, and of course involves those teams competing in Europe,

I just hope we try and take this comp at least semi seriously for once, and get through a couple of rounds anyway, obviously who we draw will have a bearing, but with a fair wind we could go a fair distance in this tournament.

Isually id also go for this just for the ground tick, but tbh it doesnt really matter if we cant go.

As above. Can't even get excited by a ground tick in a competition which isn't anywhere near as relevant as it was. It's become an unwelcome distraction. Play the U23's and give them some confidence and experience in a competitive game.

Just about as it stands, but the bench will likely be filled with kids again, their squad depth is no doubt better than ours, hence why I'd make them favourites to advance.

Most people don't seem that fussed about this comp anyway, so they won't lose any sleep if we go out early once again.

We should play a full strength team to beat Sheffield and then have an easier match in the 3rd round. Excellent chance of reaching the 4th!
