A lot of abuse aimed at Burnley CC on here.

If they are still paying a pro I don't see what's wrong with charging. If there's no pro's on show then no entry fee.

They're a very quiet club. Just get on with winning stuff and not saying much on social media.

Each to their own I suppose but to my knowledge they are the only club to charge anything this year. I think they charged reduced entry in their game against Rammy but full price today. Wonder why?

Also in my opinion it’s counter productive for a game like today. Get folk in the door then worry about that you can take off them.

Fair comment on the pro situation. The club itself is quiet..not so sure about their few supporters.

The charging on the door has always been to get away fans as home fans generally are members.

We hardly ever charge at Padiham but you get a lot more people in that use the bar facilities.

"Hate On" one of the Americanisms that has crept into everyday use in this country. To be honest there has never been much love lost between the two clubs be they successful, good, bad or indifferent.

As for lairy, if promoting your club and seeking to maximise every opportunity to generate interest and support is considered lairy, then I'm all for it.

After all, people always 'hate on' successful sports teams.

Are you serious?

A valid complaint about charging for a friendly, which had manifested well before the result was known either way, is classed as "dummy spitting".

The complaint would have been equally valid whether the game was won or lost.

Always a excuse. Yesterday it was oh you've got a pro etc. The same pro you let go. Now its the gate mans fault for daring to charge you to get on

Let's be honest, the reigning champs, armed with a pro, should beat a team of amateurs. That's not sour grapes in anyway, it's a simple fact. I'd be very disappointed if the boot was on the other foot and Lowerhouse armed with a pro had not beaten a team of amateurs.

By the way Lowerhouse had the option to go and get a sub pro for yesterday if they wished but they chose not to.

Maybe people should give some credit to Lowerhouse for entering a T20 comp in which they exclusively played teams with pro's. There weren't any other takers I notice.

Also, for the sake of clarity, I am fairly certain that the gate man had no affect on the result.

Can only be Burnley. Bring up genuine complaints...which have still to be explained..and all we get back is we are dummy spitting. Classless as usual from the Burnley lot.
Interesting to see how they cope with little to no car park receipts this season. Maybe that's why they charged. Doubt the paltry crowd will get them by..even when charging.

Genuine question- Are you still paying annual subs at Lowerhouse?

Just asking, as if your not, how do our local clubs survive? If gates aren't being charged?

I tend to find the people who have actually played against each other from the two clubs get on just fine. It’s the spectators who cause issues.
