Seems we have better possession but Denmark playing better football and more likely to score.

If Waddle thinks this is poor it must be dire.

This match needs some creativity, Waddle off and bring on Chris Kamara.

Thought he might have learned to just 'shut up' more often but he likes himself far too much for that.

To be fair, he wouldn’t really get very far as a commentator if he just shut up :)

I did say 'shut up more often'. There is a skill to commentary/ co-commentary that might require some training. Probably not in Kevin's list of things to do.

An effort on target would be nice from either team, and why the hell is he playing Tripps on the left again.

Coady is playing well, and he doesn't look out of place at this level, but he's the only bright note in an otherwise dire game.

This is as predicted. Negative, disjointed and lacking any creativity. I keep switching between the cricket..and not looking good there either.

The only good news is that there are no fans so they won’t feel robbed of the cost of their ticket !!! What has Dier and the Leeds guy done to warrant selection

They might just be the key to hanging on for a draw tonight

One plays for Spurs, the other for Leeds, that's why they warrant selection.

It's the central midfield that needs swapping out.

Denmark playing like Burnley and doing it well.

England square pegs in round holes - wrong team - devoid of ideas.

There's bags of creativity sat on the bench in Grealish and Mount, get them on in the 2nd half, they can't be any worse than that dross.

At least playing behind closed doors has saved the team from being booed off.

How the hell did Taylor not get in the squad yet Phillips did? Really strange.

Phillips has done okay but Trippier has been pretty bad. Not surprising really when there's only ever one man in the box to cut in and cross too.

Dier is terrible, they should have scored.

Pickford made a good save.

No creativity at all, far too defensive in the middle.

Is he at left back again? He’s not good enough to play that position.

Phillips, Phillips, who the hell is Phillips ?

Am I out of touch or are these madeup names ?

Can't say I know who he is tbh.

That one save will justify Pickfords selection in Southgates mind.
Phillips has been better than I expected.
Dier hasn’t.
Tripps plays it forward to Sterling, gets up available and never gets the return pass.

Southgate thinks Trippier is good enough to 'play in that position', so every one else is wrong.

Then Southgate's a plank, why play players in positions their not comfortable in, it's hardly surprisingly he's struggling on the left. if Southgate persists with this stubbornness it'll cost him his job.

This has got to be close to the worst midfield England have started in the last 10-15 years.

Genuine question would any of them even start for Burnley?

It's worst than the iceland match, one shot off target so far.

ps. Belgium beating Iceland 3-1

Absolutely. They’re all brilliant passers of the ball, just like Gareth wants.

They’d definitely out-football Burnley’s hoof it and hope players.

We're devoid of creativity in the centre of the park and Southgate's answer is to bring on Mount for Sancho.

Trippier is gonna feel his black eye tomorrow. Denmark very impressive. Every time they get the ball they make something happen or win a good free kick.

Every time England get it, we can't do anything with it.

Massive fan of Tripps, but it’s disgraceful he’s been played as a left back when players like Taylor aren’t even given a squad pick. Especially considering Phillips has been picked and hasn’t even played a prem game yet. If Phillips played for Brentford he’d be no where near the squad.

Southgate, a very nice man.

Gomez has been very good. Our most creative player makes something happen. Passes through the midfield to Sterling who plays in Kane, he can't quite stretch for it.
Trippier cuts in and feeds Kane but it was just a little too hard. Over the bar.

If we keep feeding Kane and getting the ball to Sterling we'll score.

Someone message Rigg, get him to save his football manager game and watch the Danes instead. Lots of quality players in our price range.

Finally Southgate's realises we're too defensive in the middle and brings on Grealish for Phillips. Somehow Dier and Rice are still on the pitch.

Mount has worked hard since he's come on. Credit to him.

I wonder how Dwight would have done tonight? I personally think he would have been head and shoulders above and are exactly what England are lacking.
