Positive interview from Ben about when he will be fit. Doesn't sound like he'll make the Leicester game, but it sounds like he won't be too long.

I’ve only gone off the team the club put out. Somewhat telling though if Tarkowski isn’t captain.

Difficult to tell. He doesn't appear to be on the training ground yet.

HT photos definitely show no armband on Tarky and Westwood wearing one (as above)

So Burnley Football Club clearly put the wrong information out. Incredible.

And you now have to ask as to why the armband was taken from Tarkowski. I bet there is a simple answer to that.

If he isn't even training yet he won't be back anytime soon.

Strange then that Phil Bird has just suggested he might play a part in the Sheff U game, but then said it might be a bit too soon to be Dyche fit.

In friendlies and cup games, the teamsheet is given by the Assistant Manager and just typed out or photocopied, then distributed to the press in person normally

Hard to say, but it could be as simple as Sean seeing what Westy might be like as captain?

The fact that Tarky is playing is a good sign, especially as he is apparently having a very good game.

Maybe just trying a different captain. Apparently Westy has been captain before. Can't see why we'd get him match fit for another club.

Phil Bird is an employee of the club, he has to tow the party line and try to put a positive spin on things. Like when Dyche says someone is "touch and go" when the reality is they're nowhere near.

I was going to say be nice for Vydra to grab a goal - want Brady to be on in the action now.

Maybe you didn't see the interview with Ben at HT. He sounded pretty upbeat and positive.

What's the point of anyone saying that Ben might be fit if there's no chance?

We'll just have to see I suppose. Hopefully I'm wrong but I don't think we'll see Ben Mee or Cork before the end of October.

I don't have any idea of the situation with Cork, but I don't know what you base your assumption about Ben on.

Anyway, as you say, we'll see.
