Potential streaming for League Cup tie v Sheffield United
The club have just confirmed that the League Cup game will be played on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. although that info has been on the Football League site for most of the week.
However, they have confirmed they are in discussion with the league regards streaming the game.

I should think so. Two top half PL teams and no coverage would be ridiculous.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:32 amThe club have just confirmed that the League Cup game will be played on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. although that info has been on the Football League site for most of the week.

If the club are discussing streaming I’m guessing that would be PPV?

I wouldn't have thought so given it's not the Premier League 's competition.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 10:13 amIf the club are discussing streaming I’m guessing that would be PPV?
However, I stand to be corrected.

Seeing as the football league have a deal with IFollow, it would have to be on there I presume?
League cup games are never shown on other streaming sites as no other countries show them. Just televised ones in Britain.

Should be on Clarets Player then.
I don't think we can Chromecast to the TV though.
Worst case is they do Comms cam live on either Clarets player or YouTube

From Sheff United website “.. both clubs are currently liaising with the EFL in a bid to get the green light to stream the fixtures to supporters, for a nominal cost.””

Not true, more games are shown abroad than are shown in the UK. Our away tie with Blackburn a few years for example.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 10:29 amSeeing as the football league have a deal with IFollow, it would have to be on there I presume?

If it was the league cup tie, which is what I take it he's talking about, I definitely watched it live, and I don't normally do illegal streams, but maybe I did for that game.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 2:16 pmDon’t think it was on Sky Grumps but my memory might well have gone.
