Saints finished last season off in very decent form; 3 draws, 3 wins (one of those v Man City) in the last 6 games.
Of the teams in the bottom half (other than those relegated), Palace then Newcastle then Everton had the lowest points tally over that period.
I guess Everton's new big-money signings should lift them out of contention for bottom 5 or 6 but I think Newcastle and Palace are rightly in with Fulham, WBA and Villa as the lowest odds group.

It surprises me how long odds Leeds are though cf the other promoted teams; I know their manager is very respected and they had a good end-season but I cant see them "doing a Sheffield United".

It seems like the last few years, a few of the established Premier League teams slowly start circling the relegation drain... each year, they drop points and slowly creep towards that relegation spot. Villa, Swansea, and Stoke come to mind....and this year I think its BHA.

They played uninspired for close to half the year, and if they start slow, i don't think they can bounce back.
I think Leeds will struggle, they upgraded Bamford with Rodrigo, but 38 Goals in 172 games is not a great return, and I think he will quickly see that the Premier League is not La Liga. I like our odds to stay up...
