I fancied Leeds to run them close, so not actually surprised. And I expect them to be knocking on the door to the top 10 come the end of the season.

Wouldn’t call myself a Jeff hater; wanted him to re-sign, but also, after seeing Brownhill & with JBG (hopefully) getting fit, am not sure I’d wanted him stay here and consume a large salary.

Very interested to see where he starts and how he plays. He’s a very steady performer so don’t expect any nightmares, just interested if he’ll improve Newcastle’s performances overall.

Exactly we got a result at Anfield which nobody else has managed for 18 months, Leeds will get plenty of plaudits for their display, but they're going home with zero points, I know which I'd rather garner throughout the season, and it's not plaudits.

to judge on 90 minutes, and despite their under par performance, once again Liverpool found a way to win, how many times did that happen last season, if they can keep digging results out when they're not playing well, they'll be a hard act to stop, and like many great teams of the past they've got that winning mentality.

Playing left or right footers on their 'wrong' wings or inside channel often pays dividends for cutting in on goal, I would imagine many wingers prefer that role.

I think it all depends what type of forwards you’ve got, if you’ve forwards like Wood and J Rod it makes sense to cross with your strongest foot! It’s what makes Dwight so effective down the left
