Just when you think it can't get any worse for West Ham
Their women's team lost 9-1 at home to Arsenal earlier, the good news is that a smattering of fans were in attendance, as it was one of the test events selected.

Their poor defensive performance against Toon might mean they'll be back in for
Tarks with a renewed determined bid this week.

only downside to their defeat!

They need a hell of a lot more than a decent defender at that car crash club. It's 50/50 even divine intervention stands a chance.

Somehow I dont think they will this time the clubs like a festering sore. Their fans Like Newcastle have Feelings of superiority and entitlement.I know its early doors but soucek's? Head dropped yesterday. Not a good sign so early in the campaign. Unlike a lot of Clubs West Ham fans have been Slating managers for as long as I can remember. That cannot be a good environment to work in.

How can Anderson not get a game? Is lanzini still there? They seem to have a lot of individuals but not a team

Anderson looked good against us down there. He looked totally disinterested when he’s played at the Turf. That’s one accusation I couldn’t aim at any one of our players.Red Fox Rocks Socks wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 11:47 amHow can Anderson not get a game? Is lanzini still there? The last bit of your post is the issue and in particular the midfield just doesn't work as a unit.
An ageing Noble alongside an increasingly peripheral Fornals means that Rice can't do it all on his own.
Jarrod Bowen had a poor game as well yesterday, he was excellent in the post lockdown games.
I like Soucek, he's excellent at arriving late into the box and Antonio has everything you want in a front player.
I have a feeling these two in particular are going to have to pull their tripe out week in week out to keep West Ham out of trouble.
I don't think their back 4 is the problem it's their midfield and the likes of Anderson and Lanzini will make very little difference with how the central midfield currently operates.

I think he rarely as a good game, if he wasn't west ham thru & thru it'd be hard to see him getting as much gametime as he does.

I think hes spent now...been a good leader of the team for years but trying to get something out of a team of Mercenaries is like P!ssing in the wind. His job is done.

Re: Just when you think it can't get any worse for West Ham
Two points ....
1) West Ham hit the bar twice yesterday before Newcastle had scored, a few inches makes a huge difference. Given the products David Gold stocks in his other business, he'll be acutely aware of this fact ...
2) With that defensive display, James Tarkowski's price tag has increased ....
