Incredible how this game has turned round. I’d given it up and now we are in with a big chance.

BBC years ago had Dennis Compton & Ted Dexter on commentary. They were always well gone by the last session if the day in a test match.

Hilarious how bad Aus have been after cruising. They deserve to lose purely for Zampa’s hair cut.

It's strange I get more nervous watching England at cricket than I do at football. Well done England, good tactical match for Morgan, can't understand Aussies at the end.

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
The Aussies must be sick of the sight of England, Headingley, the first T20. and now today, how on earth do England keep producing these epic comebacks from nowhere, they never know when their beaten, and that's a great trait to possess.
That T Curran/Rashid stand proved the difference, but the Aussies have imploded again, when the game was there's for the taking.
Stunning effort from all the bowlers to get England over the line. It's set up for a thrilling finale now.

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
One game to go but overall we’ve seen some terrific cricket this summer. That’s two great comebacks against the Aussies and that brilliant day against Pakistan when we won the test match.

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
It took us 30 overs to realise that if we bowl at the stumps you have a better chance of getting wickets.
Archer got the early wicket of Warner with a good ball and then used his weaponty to dismiss Stoinis but then our bowling for the next 23 over was abysmal, too short and wayward.
It was when Woakes and Archer cmae back on that we started to bowl well and this continued to the end. We then had 4 clean bowled, 1 lbw, 1 caught behind and 1 stumped in the last 8 wickets. We sometimes need to remind our bowlers that if they bowl straight and the batsman misses there is a good chance that they will hit. It isn't rocket science.
Great win in the end.

And nowhere better to bowl straight than from the Brian Statham End at Old Trafford.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 9:26 pmIt took us 30 overs to realise that if we bowl at the stumps you have a better chance of getting wickets.

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
The good thing about playing against this Australian bowling attack is they bowl test match line and length and been successful with it.
We have copied it a lot more now instead of every other bowl being a cutter or slower ball.
Great to see from both sides

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
The Currans would be more effective cricketers if they didn't have to fanny about with their barnets every ball, particularly Sam. Still can't believe we won it.

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
Never give it up they say. I have to admit that I had. Still this morning I can't believe that we came back and won that. Admittedly they made a right arse of it but all credit to the way we bowled, firstly Archer & Woakes who were brilliant in that devastating spell and then the Curran brothers to follow.
Really looking forward to the decided this week.

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
Fantastic summer of cricket on Sky and Wednesday could be the 'icing on the cake'. I've much preferred watching cricket without the crowds than football. As Sir Matt Busby once said 'Football is nothing without the fans'. Totally agree, with the exception that I enjoyed the Liverpool/Leeds match, and the final score ever better

Re: England vs Australia 2nd ODI
Yes another excellent, exciting game.
We have had a good summer of international cricket thanks to the W Indies, Pakistan and Australia travelling here and isolating in their bubbles. The County game less successful but, on this occasion, the ECB and others have done a good job. You could say Sky has saved our bacon!
