First prem manager to go??
First prem manager to go??
I wonder who might bite the dust first, Dean Smith, Moyes I know it's early but good time to get your bets on.

If I was a betting man, and I'm not, I'd be betting that Sean will still be here at the end of the season.

Id say Dyche was a likely contender to walk out if we sell someone like Tarks, fail to sign any decent players and get off to a bad start. I dont think he would though as we pay him so much money I cant see him quitting and giving up his golden egg even if he is unhappy

Re: First prem manager to go??
I was asked this for the Observer last week and went for Roy Hodgson at Palace. If they have a difficult start then I think that could happen but Moyes & Smith will be big candidates I should think.

Leicester have only won 3 of their last 14 premier games , so they'll need a good start or bye bye Brendan . Unfortunately this could be rather tempting for Mr Dyche .

Definitely it would be seen as a continuation from last season when they downed tools effectively safe, away from the usual favourites already mentioned it’d only take a few bad results for Chelsea & lampard would be uncomfortable legend or no legend they’ve spent the pressure will be on.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 1:45 pmI was asked this for the Observer last week and went for Roy Hodgson at Palace. I'm sure Dyche would walk out from 70K a week with no certainty of another job for the foreseeable...

Doubt Leicester would go for Dyche. Reckon it would be Palace if anyone.

Re: First prem manager to go??
After that display yesterday Moyes must be on borrowed time, that said I don't know who could motivate that rabble at WH.
Dean Smith needs a decent start or the pressure will build.
Of the rest Ancelotti and Jose might get itchy feet if things aren't going well early doors.
Sean will only jump ship if he's got a better offer on the table, and right now that isn't the case, now if the Leicester vacancy arose that could be very tempting, so we need to hope the Foxes hit the ground running, apart from next week obviously.

OGS at United anyone. If they get off to a shocker, which I really hope, then he will be vulnerable to the boot.

It’s it’s West Ham, Palace or Leicester then Eddie Howe will be higher up the list than Dyche.

Parker or Moyes for me. I hope it isn’t Roy, I feel SD would do well there if there was an opening and he was tempted.

I'm thinking Parker will be first to go, but they do have the fixtures on their side to get some points on the board.

Thats crap odds for Ancelotti, Lampard, Mourinho & Solskjaer all to be sacked at the same time

Potter 20/1 Smith 13/1 look a decent shout as any. West ham can't keep sacking the manager.. Can they??
Re: First prem manager to go??
No way Parker lasts the season. I think he'll be the first to go. Either him or Moyes but not sure GSB will want to payout a manager when their finances are so tight.

If Watford were still in the prem, then the answer to this question would be obvious.

Hmm... I get the feeling they are going to do a Norwich and accept they are likely to go back down. So that could mean they'll stick with him regardless.

Re: First prem manager to go??
This suggestion that West Ham sack a lot of managers is not accurate. Avram Grant left it the summer of 2011 and they’ve only had Allardyce, Bilic, Moyes & Pellegrini since.

Parker's on a hiding to nothing at Fulham.
Surely they'll give him time.

Re: First prem manager to go??
West Ham's next six PL fixtures are Arsenal, Wolves, Man City, Leicester, Tottenham and Arsenal. They could easily have a record of played seven, won none, possibly with nulle points. Moyes would have to go.

Apologies, last fixture should read Liverpool, not Arsenal, which makes it worse for them.

Re: First prem manager to go??
Moyes always looks like a dead man walking. Don’t know how he motivates anyone. Definately wouldn’t ever him here. West Ham were very poor yesterday and made Newcastle look better than they were. Between him or Parker for me. Don’t see Dyche leaving unless there’s another job or we get off to a woeful start with still no chairman backing.

Doubt it, you dont need to do any spying on our training sessions to know we are gonna get 8 men behind the ball and lump it aimlessly forward
Re: First prem manager to go??
25p ew on Mourinho.
Re: First prem manager to go??
Don’t think it’ll be Dyche. I do think Dyche could end up getting one of the jobs that become vacant though.

Re: First prem manager to go??
I will revise my previous opinion ,how shite were Spurs v Everton
Awful gutless and no fight .
It seems Jose has fallen out with several players
He will leave by mutual consent

Re: First prem manager to go??
He’s given everything in his time here but the Chairman is making the decision to leave for him. He needs career progression and unless he’s backed then sadly he won’t get that here. I’d be gutted if he left but I certainly wouldn’t begrudge him a better opportunity if it came along.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:15 pmDo you think Dyche would leave us for a rival club mid-season? Do you think Dyche would go to WBA? I'm thinking he would if opportunity arose, but I think Bilic is safe there for awhile. Hopefully he stays at Burnley and harmony returns

Re: First prem manager to go??
I think Mourinho will go early. If Villa get rid of theirs I would worry that we’d lose Dyche to them.
Re: First prem manager to go??
Dyche is still very young and learning at this level with a club he can do that with. Why take the risk, he has a sporting challenge with us. Burnley is surrounded by nice countryside and is easy to travel to.
Inner city WBA or Palace doesn't really have what Burnley can offer.
Anyway, I think Mourinho will be first to go.

M n M, Moyes or Mourinho for me. Moyes always looks like he's asking to be sacked and Mourinho always seems to talk his way out of a job, he's no longer the special one, just thinks he is.

I agree with D A. If Dyche was set on leaving he would’ve gone in the close season. He’ll be here for another full season at least.Pearcey wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:23 pmHe’s given everything in his time here but the Chairman is making the decision to leave for him. Re: First prem manager to go??
Mourinho possibly but could Spurs afford to sack him? They're struggling for money as it is since the stadium was built and Covid. One of Smith, Potter, Bilic or Moyes. My money would be on Smith.
