Should the board try and sell ??
Should they at least (and maybe they do on a regular basis) be on the lookout for that Wolves / Leicester type owners/investors.
They have done a magnificent job and its not there fault that they have reached their limit/s, crickey even on paper billionaires like ashley states he can't take newcastle any further.
We can't out muscle any premiership club for a player not even west brom, Leeds or Fulham (Fulham more for location). I am not sure we could out muscle teams like Bournemouth for a player in a straight shoot out and there championship.
If the board are in this position where they sensibly cannot give one of the best managers we have ever had some resources/extra resources surely there has to be questions asked ?

Can't think why this hasn't been discussed on here recently...kenyon6923 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 3:45 pmShould they at least (and maybe they do on a regular basis) be on the lookout for that Wolves / Leicester type owners/investors.

Unfortunately the Wigan / Coventry / Charlton type owners list would be substantially longer. Be careful what we wish for.kenyon6923 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 3:57 pmthe problem is you want a wolves/leicester type and not a wigan/coventry/charlton type owners
Garlick has always maintained though he would only sell to the benefit of the club, which makes the recent discussions on here all the more interesting.

complete waste of time joining threads, that's apparent with the 2551 posts on BFC TRANSFER NEWS !!!!!!! at least 75% of them have nothing to do with BFC TRANSFER NEWS. Come on 2551 posts and we have signed 1 low key player !!!!!!Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 4:08 pmPlease merge with this the investor thread which is here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=48059

No. We finished 10? A couple of years earlier 7th.
No amount of money would guarantee a higher finish. Personally I’m very happy with Manager, Owners and Board.
It’s the same posts every season. Just be patient...new signings will arrive but maybe only after we have sold a key player like Tarks.

Why fix something that isn't broke? I remember when Stoke weren't happy with the style of football under Pulis (despite being well established) so they got rid and tried to bring a more easy on the eye approach, and look what happened.. (they spent big during the process too)
We've seen teams spend big (Pompey,Wigan,Stoke, Hull at one time,Fulham etc) and they still went down anyway. Lots of clubs would love to swap places with us on and off the field.

Agree, this "lose end" thread (see what I did there...) should be joined to and merged with the Investor thread.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 4:08 pmPlease merge with this the investor thread which is here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=48059
Anyone interested, I recommend you read why Liverpool Uni think Burnley is worth £350m - 9th highest based on 2018/19 accounts.

Re: Should the board try and sell ??
regardless of how well the board has done over the years etc etc and how long the club has been in the prem if we get the wrong appointment after SD - another Coyle - Laws situation the long good work could unrivall very very quickly.
Brighton was very lucky last season to get away with change of manager / change of style - for a long time they looked relegation fodder - think the covid break saved them.
