I thought Alex the Kidd was built into the Master System?
My next door neighbour had a Master System with Alex the Kidd built in, but the 1 I got for Christmas had Sonic.

That's going back a while. When you dived under the water. Late 80s? One of my mates used to play that constantly and I never got into it at all.

I bought an Xbox One during lockdown and was playing Fifa 20.... not a fan though. I absolutely love adventure games. Scroll up to my post about Tex Murphy and the images. I loved those games! You'd walk around and talk to people and ask them questions and play detective. Superb.

I forgot about the Total War series.

I used to watch a TV programme where they used the Roman Empire version for the game and that's when I first saw the game, I went out and got it after that.

Favourite games are of course Zelda and Mario games. Also The Last of Us and Uncharted games.

Currently I am playing A Plague Tale on PC atm and it is an incredible game. Highly recommended. It was on sale on Steam at the weekend for only £15.

I have Witcher on Pc but never got into the game play, Skyrim I am absolute deadly with a Bow, pick off enemies from distance and poison them at same time :D

That is also my tactic in Skyrim cos I get jump scared when enemies come out of nowhere.

Last of us is probably the best game I’ve ever played in terms of story. More like a film or novel than a game but brilliant never the less.

That was risky! Games copied with high speed dubbing were hit and miss when it came to loading. Hated sitting for five minutes watching a picture slowly appear on the load screen only for it to error in the last second!

Me neither.

I had the SNES and remember borrowing the mega drive and loving the PGA golf - but that was about it.

Oh and the NES... remember a road track game where you had turbo boosts. For it's time it was really good.

I’m secretly hoping my eldest when she turns 9 or 10 may get the urge to want a console for Christmas so that I can rekindle my interest. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve missed having a console. Once the kids are in bed, there’s either a game to watch or I’ve a couple of hours work to do for the day after.

I wasn’t an avid gamer but if a game got my interest I’d really get stuck into it. Tiger Woods was a huge one for that. I’d spend hours a day playing that when off work.

Haha you nutter. But... you sound like me and my nephews.

During lockdown I bought an Xbox One to keep in touch with them. But I bought one to keep in touch and I wanted to play Fifa!

Love the golf games too. But when lockdown ended I donated the Xbox to a children's charity as I simply wasn't using it. Now... get an uptheclarets team together and I'll be back on ha, but I won't lie... I loved my nephews being on haha

There were some crackers on Amiga. Every now and then I load up an emulator and play.

Moonstone
Pirates
Run the Guantlet
Swos
Premier division (football management and a board game in one)
Micro Machines
Heimdall
Valhalla
Cannon Fodder

On PC I used to love the Myst / Riven / Uru games.

Couple of other faves are G1 Jockey and Altred Beast.

Anything sports related tends to be in my collection

Micro Machines - goes across platforms I think?

How did Run the Guantlet run? What was the gameplay?

How did Run the Guantlet run? What was the gameplay?
Been a while but as I recall it played very well using the keyboard for movement etc.

Last time I tried to get an emulator it wasn't as easy to use as earlier versions and I don't think I could get anything to work. May have been on a Pad or phone though not sure now.

I think the PC does it, but we're going back a few years.

Sensible Soccer on the Amiga, loved it.

Some great suggestions here.

Any of you been to that Arcade Club place in Bury? Took the kids over towards the end of last year and that brought back some serious memories!

Elite was the first open world game, an astonishing bit of coding considering the small amount of data they had to play with.
Sensible World of Soccer was a massive time sink back in the day.
More recently I really like most Paradox grand strategy titles such as Crusader Kings 2 (now 3) and Europa Universalis 4.

Are there any similar games to Tomb Raider on the PC?
