I bought an Xbox One during lockdown and was playing Fifa 20.... not a fan though. I absolutely love adventure games. Scroll up to my post about Tex Murphy and the images. I loved those games! You'd walk around and talk to people and ask them questions and play detective. Favourite games are of course Zelda and Mario games. Also The Last of Us and Uncharted games.
Currently I am playing A Plague Tale on PC atm and it is an incredible game. Highly recommended. It was on sale on Steam at the weekend for only £15.

Last of us is probably the best game I’ve ever played in terms of story. More like a film or novel than a game but brilliant never the less.

I know but there were several versions. The skiing one was where you had to cross a busy road to buy your ski's before you could even get on to the main game - magical it was

That was risky! Games copied with high speed dubbing were hit and miss when it came to loading. Hated sitting for five minutes watching a picture slowly appear on the load screen only for it to error in the last second!

Oh and the NES... remember a road track game where you had turbo boosts. For it's time it was really good.

I’m secretly hoping my eldest when she turns 9 or 10 may get the urge to want a console for Christmas so that I can rekindle my interest. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve missed having a console. Once the kids are in bed, there’s either a game to watch or I’ve a couple of hours work to do for the day after.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 10:36 pmI game with my kids, frustrated my two teenage lads many a time on Fifa and Cod although admittedly my eldest lad was on an opposing team to me and his brother and flukely managed to hit us both with one shot in the head in Nuketown

I wasn’t an avid gamer but if a game got my interest I’d really get stuck into it. Tiger Woods was a huge one for that. I’d spend hours a day playing that when off work.

During lockdown I bought an Xbox One to keep in touch with them. But I bought one to keep in touch and I wanted to play Fifa!
Love the golf games too. But when lockdown ended I donated the Xbox to a children's charity as I simply wasn't using it. Now... get an uptheclarets team together and I'll be back on ha, but I won't lie... I loved my nephews being on haha

There were some crackers on Amiga. Every now and then I load up an emulator and play.
Moonstone
Pirates
Run the Guantlet
Swos
Premier division (football management and a board game in one)
Micro Machines
Heimdall
Valhalla
Cannon Fodder
On PC I used to love the Myst / Riven / Uru games.
Couple of other faves are G1 Jockey and Altred Beast.
Anything sports related tends to be in my collection

Last time I tried to get an emulator it wasn't as easy to use as earlier versions and I don't think I could get anything to work. May have been on a Pad or phone though not sure now.

Re: Favourite computer game
Elite was the first open world game, an astonishing bit of coding considering the small amount of data they had to play with.
Sensible World of Soccer was a massive time sink back in the day.
More recently I really like most Paradox grand strategy titles such as Crusader Kings 2 (now 3) and Europa Universalis 4.
