Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Reports that Spurs are in talks to sign Bale on loan with Real Madrid paying over 50% of his wages up to £500k, but Dele Alli could be heading to Madrid as part of the deal.
Son, Kane and Bale would be a fearsome front 3, if Bale can recapture his old form.

What a bizarre career he’s had at Madrid, winners in Champions League Finals yet never really seems to have been accepted by club or fans.

105 goals in 251 games ain't bad either.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 9:08 pmWhat a bizarre career he’s had at Madrid, winners in Champions League Finals yet never really seems to have been accepted by club or fans.
Maybe he smashed them all at golf early on and they never got over it.

Weren't Spurs the first of the big Premier League clubs to furlough club support staff?
Money must be really tight if they are paying even 50% of Bale's wages.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Don’t fancy facing Spurs with that front three.
Seems bizarre that Real would let him go and pay £500k of his wages. Even more bizarre that Spurs could afford 50% (£300k).

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
What's gone wrong with Alli as he's done nowt at Tottenham and not been involved with England in last 2 years or so?

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
they aren't though, the quotes I've seen are that it will cost Spurs 150K per week for Bale with Madrid covering the rest of his wages PLUS all of Ali's wages if he goes to them on loan
Daniel Levy is incredible if that's the deal he's got !!
Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Be interesting how they manage that. I'd read two articles that they already owed £852 million in loan repayments over 20+ years in May and then took out another £175 million loan in June because of the loss of income due to Covid.
It's a risk.

Not a bad deal at all. Can’t see what’s in it for Madrid though. Sounds like they basically have the same outgoings but get Alli in exchange for Bale. Pay for both but get a hugely inferior player? Madness.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 5:45 amthey aren't though, the quotes I've seen are that it will cost Spurs 150K per week for Bale with Madrid covering the rest of his wages PLUS all of Ali's wages if he goes to them on loan

Bale must be loving his £600k salary. Laughing his head off.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Watched the first 2 of the Spurs documentary on Amazon. Mourinho isn't a big fan of Dele and calls him lazy a few times - I can understand whey Dele is involved in the deal.
Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Dele Alli looked like he was going to be a great player at one stage. Maybe a complete change of scene and the chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world is what he needs?

Whilst Sky News viewers were being updated on the potential signing of Gareth Bale, by a reporter standing outside Tottenham's ground, a graphic came up alongside showing Burnley's transfer business Incomings of a Diallo and a W Norris.
Somehow put it all into perspective.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
I really dont wish injury for any player, but I do think it would make me have a wry chuckle if Bale goes to Spurs on loan then gets a long term injury in his first game
Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
What about the other 5 players we signed?kentonclaret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 4:50 pmWhilst Sky News viewers were being updated on the potential signing of Gareth Bale, by a reporter standing outside Tottenham's ground, a graphic came up alongside showing Burnley's transfer business Incomings of a Diallo and a W Norris.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Have Spurs signed a dud? imagine the outcry on here if we signed someone but they weren't available for a month.
Spurs have confirmed he will not be fit to make his debut until after the international break next month. He suffered a knee injury on Wales duty last time.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
He'd have to isolate for 2 weeks anyway, I'd assume, so it's not really an issue that he won't be ready until after the break.
Plus he's going to need to step up his training to have any chance of being the game changer we know he used to be.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
He will have earned nearly another £2 million in wages by then without kicking a ball.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Not our problem
Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
Spurs signing Bale is similar if we got Trippier or Ings back. 2 weeks isolation and then a couple more weeks after that. I’m sure every Burnley fan would take that.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 7:24 pmHave Spurs signed a dud? imagine the outcry on here if we signed someone but they weren't available for a month.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.
So now that Bale has pretty much failed to reach his former heights at Spurs, he's probably going back to Real in the summer as he has a year left on his contract...
Only issue is he's going to be a non-EU player and they're only allowed 3 in a 25 man squad
He's going to end up sat watching from the side lines again until his contract is up.

Re: Bale to Spurs, Alli to Madrid.

I thought we'd left the European Union. Didn't realise we have left the continent.

Not sure what his handicap is now but when he was in Spain, it was the language (apparently).
