Re: 1,000 allowed attend ten Football League games
From what I've heard you can look forward to some (if not all) of the following:
Season tickets will be refunded for 20/21.
Ballot for all games - You put in how many you want from the same household. Higher the number, less likely you are to get tickets.
No choice as to stand / row / where in stand.
Maximum 20% capacity.
No Away fans.
Ballot entry levels based upon highest points, ST holders, then any other applications.
ST's will be held for 19/20 holders for 21/22.

How did you work that out?
941,250 people have died this year worldwide from covid. That figure is probably too low due to under reporting by some countries.
I don't see that close on to 1 million have died on their way to football matches.

The club would be better off allowing the ST holders who have paid the most to attend so they have less money to pay back.

I can’t see this working at a time when cases are on the increase everywhere. Not going to last long at all.
We won’t be back at the turf until at least next season, probably the one after.

If fans aren’t back until the season after next there isn’t going to be much football left.

I wouldn’t be surprised if football below the premier league (and possibly the premier league as well) collapses completely this season. It’s been a ticking time bomb for a while, and a major event like this could see it off.

That's a great idea and the fairest way. ST holders who have paid in full = Priority. A season ticket holder is a season ticket holder regardless on how they choose to pay. Also renewals were suspended before the early bird deadline so there will be existing season ticket holders who haven’t renewed.

I've paid for my ticket upfront. Why should somebody who hasn't be in front of me? Remember 'cash is king' first come first served.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 6:43 pmHow is that fair? You really are talking some nonsense today.

All season ticket holders need to be given equal chance of going.

I don’t need to prove anything, it was an example, although I very much suspect I have.
In business cash is king yes, but it’s not a way to decide who gets a ticket.

Whats a fair solution then? If I'm picked out of the ballot does that mean my children are entitled to attend? If yes thats not fair on 3 other supporters whos names could've been picked out.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 6:58 pmI’m not worried, I just think it should be done with equal chance for all cos I’m not selfish.

Indeed we will see. I've been told it will.
1st Ballot - ST holders with x number of points
2nd Ballot - Any other ST holders
3rd Ballot - General sale
Pretty much how the away ticket model works, allowing for priority for ST holders.

It would be fair if you or your children are then not eligible to be in the ballot for another game until everyone else has been selected.Blackburn_Claret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:02 pmWhats a fair solution then? Re: 1,000 allowed attend ten Football League games
Apparently, you'll have to put in for 4 seats on your ballot request. Chances of you getting 4 tickets is vastly reduced due to them needing to keep social distance.Blackburn_Claret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:02 pmWhats a fair solution then? I'd imagine you'd get most problems with the fans meeting up for drinks before and after the game
Re: 1,000 allowed attend ten Football League games
Just an idea. Wouldn't it be an idea to offer our 1,000 tickets in that scenario to local schools, possibly businesses where people work/learn in bubbles anyway? Low risk. Could get a few new fans from the youngsters attending who might not otherwise have done. Obviously supervised by teachers. They're already in bubbles at work/school.

Re: 1,000 allowed attend ten Football League games
Reports from Wales that a county is now in local lockdown after a cluster of cases linked to a club trip by coach to Doncaster races last week.
The coach stopped at a number of pubs both on the way there and the way back.
We really do seem to be shooting ourselves in the foot.
I fear it will be a long and lonely Christmas for many people

You're clearly missing the point. You suggested all over 60's were sensible! I offered the fact they're not.
Re: 1,000 allowed attend ten Football League games
I don’t think that I’ll be attending, if selected, and not solely because it’s too soon, with cases back on the rise.
The atmosphere with 1,000 in, all spread about, will be terrible, it’ll be worse than the fourth division days (barring the football on show).
If the games are on tele, that’s my choice until we can be back to the ground properly.

Go to any working mans club or golf club and you'll see plenty of older people completely ignoring any social distancing or mask wearing rules as well.
But obviously its easier to pin the blame on young people, who have probablyhad to sacrifice more than anyone and received no thanks whatsoever from a lot of the older generation.

I suggested about price being the deciding factor.
For every child the club allow on they will have to pay 30 quid back to the adult they don't let on. Some kids are free up to a fiver for the top price ticket.
