What’s having hardly played got to do with giving the ball away early in the game?
Match fitness, confidence, fear of the same injury. Take your pick.

Wow! His first competitive game in how long? Did Brady run over your cat when he was a boy? Jeez! You have selective memory my friend.
Strange then that I'm not the only one saying the same thing then?

Benson has looked confident and more than capable since he came on.
No shy of looking for the ball and, very comfortable on it.
Good showing.

I’m going 10-9 Burnley with Kev Long the winner

Despite the weird negativity about the performance that permeated this thread throughout from the usuals, that was a really solid display with great debuts from Dunne and Benson.

Shame about JBG, we can be under no doubt the club needs to spend money now if we were not already.

Well done Clarets.

We were good tonight, and I know it was only Sheff Utd reserves but Dunne and Benson looked decent, and pieters more than did a job again

Who needs signings when we have a magician in charge.

At least we got something out of it. Will cost us losing JBG though, but maybe it will mean we're more likely to sign someone now.

Missed the first half an hour but I thought we were good in the second half. Generally controlled the game and played some tidy stuff without being overly creative. The positive for me was the match sharpness which didn’t seem to be lacking at all.

Really gutted for JBG, hope it’s not as bad as feared. Get Mee, Tarks, McNeill and Wood in that lineup and we’re a lot stronger.
