No longer a possible signing to bulk up the squad numbers, as he has today signed for Aldershot Town.

Not had a club since being released by Villa in 2019, and that after spending most of his 3 years there out on loan

Amazing how many "good" players just disappear from the scene

I think we were strongly linked with him a few years ago when still at Leeds

Saw also this week that Scott Hogan (again who we were previously linked with) has now had to move down a level and signed for Birmingham

Still, they won't have any problems counting their money

Amazing how a players career can implode - he was a good player. Doesn't seem like the dependable type, with more than one manager dropping him because of his commitment to training.

At the rate Villa are recruiting there will be some more players moving from there,as there may be at Sheff Utd and Everton. Should we be tipping off our Recruitment Team

Perhaps "the recruitment team" use UTC as a 1st point of reference to see what the "experts" on here think 😉

Still can't believe Fulham and Villa paid £11 and £12 million for him.
But then again, looking at how those two teams throw big money around.. I shouldn't be surprised afterall.

How many on here thought, 'surely not' before they opened the thread?

He was good but he was a bit like Robbie Blake, in the sense he didn't look after his fitness. Couldn't afford that getting older back then, let alone now.

Another player we were linked with until he manged to pressurise Derby into better wages, I believe, Craig Bryson is delighted to be joining St. Johnson.

Drinkwater will be going on a similar route if he doesn't get his act together, it's a mirrored trajectory albeit a distance apart.
