If I were a family of the bereaved of...

Post by Pstotto » Fri Sep 18, 2020 6:39 pm

... The American soldiers killed in Vietnam and the subsequent suicides of the veterans and the collateral wholesale damage to millions of Americans citizens, I'd sue the American Government and not just for paying my taxes for the defense budget, for not using nuclear weapons.

The story of the Accrington Pals is presented as a myth of national ego, even after national sacrifice, EVEN NOW.

...Poor direction, not poor soldiers.

If I had been a Vietnam objector I would have taken the U.S.A. Government to court to contest a conscription to go to Vietnam and potentially lose my life, when my family has contributed to the defense budget to pay for nuclear weapons.

.. As a child in the UK, I had to watch that drama everyday at 6pm from 1963 to 1975 i.e. from the age of one (I can remember from that age) to twelve years old.

I agree a bit.

There were American heroes of the Vietnam war, but if they'd used the nuclear weapons the American public worked for, there would have been no need for heroes.

Korea 1950 should have sorted the problem.
