Ings on the mark for Saints, more misery for Jose and Spurs, following 2 disallowed Kane goals, and a disallowed Ings effort.

Rangers 1 down at Hibs, Scotty starting for the Gers.

2-1 spurs, a brace for Son. Straight from the KO, Saints hit the bar, there'll surely be more goals in this one.

Hibs level vs Rangers. Come on Hibs.

Thought Spurs were awful until they equalised just before half time. Now 5-1 up and some downright bad defending from Southampton.

Still 5mins plus left on S coast.
Time to get really embarrassing yet.

Has Kane scored 1 and assisted the other 4? Good for people in FPL who have him, if so.

He has. But Son will have more points with four goals.

Ridiculous decision. His arm was already outstretched when the ball hit it.

This is what people wanted, including a few on here, referee's discretion taken out of whether a handball is deliberate or not.

One given like that at Man U yesterday but one just the same turned down at Arsenal. No consistency but they are not penalties.

You’re going to end up with people aiming to hit arms and defenders having to sellotape their arms to their sides.

Didn't see the Arsenal game, but saw the one at OT.
Not quite as 'stupid' as the Saints one, but bad enough.
The game really is being ruined. From what I've spent a lifetime playing/watching, anyway.

The Arsenal one hit him on the shirt sleeve, that's why it wasn't given.

Typical Kane, Son nets 4, and yet Harry still tries to claim the match ball.

I hope Southampton defend this poorly when they visit the turf next week. Our forwards will have a field day.

I agree, but this is what happens when you try and make the law consistent and remove referee's discretion from the decision making.

18 for Kane. Anybody with both has had a bumper day so far.

Spurs didnt look to special for most of the first half but with Moura/Kane/Son always looked likely they'd score a few irrespective of general play. Saints playing a high line and speedy players moving onto decent through/over passes. Harry netted a couple in the first half that were disallowed for others being just offside earlier in the move & saints seemed to be coping then but it all went pear shaped in 2nd half.

You could be pretty much spot on with that.
It's not hard to see someone like Pulis, for instance, finishing training with a half hour kicky-ball-to-hand without it being too obvious..
Whoever dreams these crap rules up ought to be made to cut the grass of a full size pitch with a pair of kitchen scissors every Saturday afternoon.

If the arm is extended from the body when it hits then it is a penalty every time. That's the rules since the start of last season. We didn't moan when we got a penalty last season v Bournemouth? 'Natural body shape' does not include outstretched arms.

Just because some people believe football was better 'back in t'day' doesn't mean they are not really penalties. The modern game is so much faster and athletic and the advent of video freeze framing with the inevitable media focus has meant the rules had to adjust.

Definite red card for me, almost a rugby tackle on a player running through on goal.
Is it me or is Carragher's scouse accent getting worse. I'm struggling to understand half of what he says.
