Sorry I posted on other thread no Tarkowski. Hopefully Dunne will work out to be another gem.

I hope we win, just so we get some points on the board.

Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
Jesus wept, McNeil came out of the same situation , and the rest is history, what's to say Dunne isn't the same? It could solve more problems than we think we have if he does step up like McNeil did ,and gives more cash to spend on other positions. This could be a sliding door's situation as it was with McNeil.
Chin up guys! all were saying the same when the team came out for Sheff UTD

I would imagine our players are just as furious as us at the lack of investment in the squad - I'm yet to hear an interview by any player, current or ex, that doesn't welcome new signings. Garlic is making a colossal mess of it this summer

Oh I’m behind the team but what I’m saying isn’t out there it’s unfortunately the truth. No other club would allow this situation to happen never mind one in the premier league.

I really hope we can sign a centre half from Wycombe or somebody but I fear that they will be out of our price range. Not looking good.

We've been in similar situations through injuries but mid-season. To start like this is not a good sign, I much preferred when the window closed before the season starts, I can accept we do our deals late but it's not ideal when every game matters.

Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
It's great to see everybody backing the lads that are playing, yes we need new blood, and if Tarks goes this week we'll more than likely have some irons in the fire, but some of the comments on this thread are
The weakest squad in all 4 divisions- I'm sure there's plenty of clubs that would happily swap places with BFC, we're about to commence a 5th successive season in the PL, GET SOME PERSPECTIVE!.
And some posters have us relegated before we've even kicked a ball, I thought people wanted the youth players to get their chance, well they are getting that chance now, let's see how they perform being writing them off, you never know they might surprise us.

I recall one player injuring his foot at home... Putting it through a glass table.

It’s a big day for Jimmy Dunne, he’ll be a nervous lad, just needs a steady start, good luck to the lad!

Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
You’re right, why is everyone not being positive? We’ve got a central defender starting who recently returned from an unsuccessful loan in League One and a subs bench full of untried reserve team kids. What’s not to be positive about?
Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
Its the first league match of the season and we dont have a first choice CB available. Its poor management and its not good for team morale. Lets see.

Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
I think, in all honesty, we've got to a point where a narrow defeat will be seen as a really good result.
I don't think that's been known at Burnley since Coyles away days in the Prem.
Its certainly one hell of a stretch to believe the Tark toe injury guff... Cynics may suggest he's pulling the same stunt he pulled at Brentford.
The argument that we're virtually potless simply doesn't stand up when we look at recent financial statements. We've clearly been very skilfully managed in recent years, but it really does now seem like the wheels are coming off.
We're more like a little piggy being fattened up for market imo.

**** poor management.
Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
Garlick really does need potting. **** poor bench. The only thing keeping Dyche at the club is his contract. Hopefully we won’t get ripped a new one.

Re: Leicester v Burnley - Match day thread
why would tarks want to stay if better clubs with more resources are interested ? put yourself in his position - the clubs bleating about budgets, the manager is bleating about budgets - nobody is coming through the doors - on top of that he can get a pay rise - no brainer to me.

Mee JBG Barnes Cork Tarks
Put them in the squad and it’s a completely different look.
Yeah we need a few players but we have 5 (five) first choice players out missing.

Just don't give a penalty away. Vardy, the biggest cheat in recent PL history, missed one against us last season But put 2 penalties away in Leicester 's first game of the season last week. They don't change.
A big test for Long and the inexperienced Dunne, you can just imagine the tactics being discussed in the Leicester dressing room before the game.' Suck them in '
