What a difference a Vydra makes.

Been excellent since he's been on.
But you can guarantee he won’t start the next game, even though J-Rod struggled.

I think we’ve played ok tonight, unhappy with the score but encouraged by the performance.

Weird how it's the apparently genuine fans who make the most noise when crying and also some of them are also the most clueless (hint look in the mirror and think back a few years when you did no away games but bitched the loudest)

We've been relegated twice in the last 10 years and yet still here I am.

I'm entitled to an opinion, it's usually better than someone like yours which is what you don't like.

You can also get back in your box unless you're going on yet another season long infantile tantrum about the style of football...
You’re a self admitted glory seeker, premier league casual cling on fan but think your opinion holds weight  go back to supporting Liverpool

When did we last create this many chances away from home, this could have easily been 4-4. 5-5 tonight that's one positive we can take out of this.

And we've scored a couple of goals (Wood and Dunne)

The system doesn’t change. Whilst we are short of bodies once we get a few in to the required standard we’ll always do ok, and by that I mean a Dawson or Stephens.

The challenge then comes with getting the better players in. We’re a mile off that at the minute tho. If we can consolidate with a couple of decent stop gaps we ‘kick the can down the road’ but we’ll maintain the mid to lower prem league status

Done better than expected. Bare bones stuff now though, hopefully we can get a few new faces and some lads fit.

Overall happy though, positives to be taken, we created them a lot of problems despite not having much of the ball.

Well we didn't go there to soak it up, at least we had a go. We really do need to strengthen, but credit to the boys for the effort they put in. Promising for Dunne. Taylor done very well. Agree about Vydra looking sharp when he came on. Wood should have scored at least one more.

Going to be a big week for us now, lets see what happens....

Wood has missed chances we really should have scored from. Dyche cant do the job properly like this.If we have to name this eleven and bench again then Garlick needs to go.

Harvey Barnes pisses me off. He looks like a Kevin de Bruyne impersonator.

Good player, though.

Lost away from home to a better team. No shame in that.

Plenty of worse teams than us this season, we'll be fine.

I think we've played ok tonight against a team that finished 5th last season . Yes we need to strengthen , but we're showing fight and created more chances than in a lot of games last year . Utc

They were a good team but we gave them a good game of it and could have got a draw
The own goal was unlucky
Their worldly goal
Was their first goal offside?

Long and Dunne stepped up

Actually not a bad performance considering the injuries, lack of signings and the imminent departure of Tarkowski.

Some of the comments on this thread have been ridiculous.

Basically this. Erik Pieters having the play on the right wing just isn’t a situation we should ever have to find ourselves in.

Also Dunne and Long are decent footballers individually but neither can marshal the defence properly - we’ve needed a centre half since it became clear Gibson wasn’t on. Etc

I felt that Charlie Taylor was seriously overworked. Dwight may need to work a bit harder on the defensive side of his game in a 4-4-2,
although I'd like to see him as a 10 with a free role.

I think this is a good point. Taylor normally does the job of covering for Dwight and that helps Dwight a lot, but tonight Taylor was focusing on trying to help cover Dunne and just got left with far too much to do.

Finishing last season with this threadbare squad was a gamble. Starting the season with this squad would be nothing short of suicide.

Thought the extra fitness told in the end. Remember we are a game behind everyone else. I'd say a solid overall performance with poor goals conceded.

Really really worried about our squad depth though, need to bring in 3 or 4 quality players, as already we can't rely on Brady or JBG, and we still haven't replaced Gibson, Hendrick, Lennon etc

When does the Transfer window shut?
When do we normally do our business in the window when it comes to getting them in?

As for Pieters, yeah he was on the wrong side, but it is what it is

A predictable game, Dyche squeezed every ounce of effort from the players, he’s been badly let down by the people above him and there’s simply no excuse for it.

Dyche has made Garlick a wealthy man or a man in charge of a wealthy business yet where’s the loyalty from Garlick?

I have a question, since Dyche walked through the door, what has our income been? £600M+?

So after all he’s done, this is the treatment he gets? Hung out to dry, it’s an absolute disgrace the position we are in, can’t even name senior players on the bench and forced to throw in kids but like Dunne. Shame on you MG

Taylor when not fully fit tends to give attackers a yard, and it looked like that tonight.

Arguably, we had the clearer cut chances than Leicester tonight, 2 for Wood that he could have done a bit better with.

Low block wasn't as effective as normal, which is understandable, for 2 reasons. 1 it's a relatively new central midfield pairing, and 2 there's unlikely to be the level of comms and organisation from a brand new centre half pairing.

On the whole, I wasn't expecting anything pre game, and thought arguably we were worth a point.

Don’t want to say this after a 4-2 defeat but thought we did okay tonight was actually quite proud of the lads. As others have put up to the chairman now.
