ARTICLE: Brady suffers minor fracture

Post by ClaretTony » Tue Sep 22, 2020 1:43 pm

No confirmation as yet to how long, but Tarky has a chance, some of the young players could play and a bit, not much, on signings.

“Still not sure on the guidelines from the board and chairman”

We’ve no reason to not believe what Dyche is saying here. It’s a ridiculous situation. Garlick must have his head in the sand.

Wonder what exactly 'guidelines' means?

Based on previous comments, I’d assumed it to be signings / budget.

With his history of injuries and recovery, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was quite a bit longer. Must be so frustrating for a footballer.

Regards guidelines, let's hope it means what budgets we have fees and wages wise.

Mr Dyche might want 4 players, and Garlick might say you can have as many as you like in the £50 bracket.

Anyone have any news on time lines from the players we have out at the moment ?

Now we know Barnes has played yesterday so he is as clsoe as you can get .

Barnes - playing under-23 games
Mee - training but club being cautious
Cork - longer term
JBG - nothing said but thankfully not as bad as it could have been
Tarky - should be OK now
Brady - can be difficult, I know I've had such an injury

JBG and Brady must he the two unluckiest footballers we’ve had at the club.

You have to really feel for both Brady and JBG to both get injured in the first 2 games

Of course, but the timing has probably finally forced Garlick into action. Every cloud and all that.

Sadly, both were odds on to get injured soon anyway, so better now than after the window shuts.

Dyche is either lying or inept at his job? And I don't believe someone who works to such detail would walk out of any meeting not knowing exactly what was happening?

In every industry you go to a meeting and if you weren't sure on instructions you would ask again and again until you were sure.

2 injuries that cannot be accounted for.

The tackle on JBG would put any player out.

And Brady is just so unlucky to pick up the rib injury.

What meeting is this?

And I’d suggest that Dyche doesn’t lie, nor is he inept.

Do you honestly believe someone so maticulus in fine detail doesn't know one of the most important details of his job?

No, I think that Dyche does not want to talk about any of it in public, he knows for sure

Brady, JBG and Wilshere seem to all come from the same glass factory, will go easy on JBG this time tho can’t believe how bad that challenge was.

Looking at it objectively, it's because Garlick has very little idea as to what the revenues are going to be this season.

We don't know if crowds are coming back to the Turf and we don't know if the tv deals may be subject to rebate.

I would imagine that is why he is not telling Dyche you can have £30m to spend or whatever.

Don't get me wrong SD deserves some clarity and some stretching of the funds but the current scenario is just so uncertain in terms of what monies we are going to receive.

Surely Garlick can say to Dyche/Rigg. At this moment in time we can afford £10 million and up to £50 k a week on wages. That might then be used for Dyche/Rigg to spend on one or two players.

I know it's more complicated than that but it would give them a much better idea of where they stand.

The longer this no new signings circus goes on, the more I wonder whether the board expect Sean to jump ship at the first opportunity of another job, which is why they’re so reluctant to back him in the first place.

It’s like swings and roundabouts.
