Me.

He has the unenviable task of trying to run a Country in the middle of a pandemic.

I quite like him tbh. I think he’s doing okay through a tough time. People forget he’s also had to come through his own health scare during this time.

Not sure I agree with that seeing as it's the same hand that every other world leader has been dealt. He will be judged relative to them.

Clueless bungling buffoon. Out of 68 million population we had to choose between him and Corbyn. God help us.
Could be worse maybe, 250m and choose between Trump and Biden

You try fighting a pandemic while only working ten hours a week.

Amazing that there are people around who think he’s done a good job.

What do they think things would look like if he’d done a bad job. Scary.

Quite correct and with the odd noble exception they’re all having a pretty torrid time of it .I was referring to British politics as such. I don’t think any party would have done much different tbf though Boris’s political style is really not helped by such a crisis as he’s a strictly a “ momentum “ politician imo

Agreed, he probably would have done a good at galvanising the country to some extent to 'get Brexit done'. And I also think the country was pretty much behind him at the start of the COVID pandemic when we first went into lockdown, but as the situation has progressed he has been exposed as utterly out of his depth.

Brought up with expectation that he would inevitably succeed. But has had to be a chancer to do it. I suspect the British public are now catching on to the reality that he’s not up to to the job he has landed.

just watched a clip on TV...

"tighten up on rule of six, so weddings are limited to 15..."

no wonder people dont take any notice when the soundbites dont even make any sense.

He also used "a stitch in time saves nine" which when you research the origins (below) it makes you wonder what the message is for the care homes that are having exponential growth in covid infections again...
“A stitch in time saves nine” is a French proverb dating back to the early 1700’s. It was a sailing term that had a specific meaning. When burying someone at sea, nine pounds of shot was used to weigh the body sack. Then, when the sack was stitched closed, the last stitch was passed through a body part. This kept the shroud and body together.
granted I do question the French origin story... seems suspect ;) just like Boris...

I don’t dislike him, he’s like that dopey teacher at school that hasn’t a clue that all his students are taking the **** out of him.

I don’t know enough about politics to understand if he’s doing a good job, I just look at the tv and shake my head when he’s talking, as he doesn’t fill me with any sort of confidence and the guys running the country

Very much a man's man politician in my opinion, with flaws admittedly but doesn't shirk responsibility & represents the british bulldog spirit we've been woefully lacking for years regarding other PMs, I can't think of anybody else instantly recovering from the virus & still leading the country for that he commands respect.

It’s clear what the restrictions are. He’s making a exception for weddings/funerals. Why people can’t understand that I don’t know.

Corbyn lost the election just after the Salisbury " poisonings " of the Skripals, when Mrs May got up in the house and castigated Russia, based on an examination of the substance used. Thirty six Countries had condemned the Russian actions, and Corbyn said, " We demand that Moscow be sent a sample of the poison so they can " catagorically say whether it's one of their nerve agents " !!

As for Trump v Biden, the first TV debate between the two is scheduled for a week today, in Cleveland, moderated by a FOX news anchor. Two more are due on the 7th and 15th of October ..... I suspect we'll find out whether Biden is " losing his faculties " or not ...

I liked him as London mayor. Granted, that's because I don't live there, but he couldn't bugger up the rest of the country in that role.
I suppose that this is what happens when the country basis its opinions on twitterbollux and face book and catchphrases that sound good but don't stand up to even the basic scrutiny rather than on something with a bit more gravitas.

Put it this way.

Remember this , if the country had been stupid enough to have given the keys to Number 10 Dowming Street to labour.

Not only would we still fighting the very same unprecedented global pandemic. But we'd have the ridiculous spectacle of Keir Starmer going to negotiate a trade deal with his chums in Brussels. Then returning to campaign against it in another divisive EU referendum!!

The same pandemic with yet another grinding referendum campaign thrown in for good measure! The long dark winter months would simply fly by!

Count your blessings.

True, but that’s not the point of the thread.

As a guy I can’t stand him, nor most of his cabinet.

Yeah he's made mistakes, but to me he's spending way to much time trying to please people who will never like him.

I think any PM would've made errors with this Pandemic unfortunately.

I'll judge him on Brexit and the aftermath from that more than I will on this pandemic.
