She was right the first time. As a side note. I love putting the subtitles on live news broadcasts. Some of the typos brighten up even the most depressing news.

I became pretty deaf quite a few years ago and started using subtitles from necessity. Now, though, I find it very entertaining on many occasions- you get some amusing mistakes and it's often good mental exercise trying to work out what was actually said. Cricket is about the most amusing commentary to follow on subtitles - the auto-translate finds it difficult with things such as "slashed down to third man" etc.

My wife is a bit Mutton and I have a blocked ear because of an ongoing cold so we usually have them on.
