If that is true Sean Dyche has two disgruntled players in his squadDanieljwaterhouse wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 1:55 pmI said that I had been told that bids had been accepted without Dyche knowing, to the point one was at someone else’s training ground, and that they’re was a point when he was walking if they were sold.
ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover

The player at another training ground was Tarks at Leicester

Re: ALK Capital...
Find it hard to believe that even Garlic would accept bids for our players behind SD's back. If there is any truth in these rumours and it got as far as Tarks being on Leicester ground then I'm not surprised there is dischord in the club and that we didn't sign anyone apart from Stephens.
Doesn't bode well for the future if any of it is true.

According to Chris Boden, it seems we were also making bids for players that SD didn't want.Firthy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:18 pmFind it hard to believe that even Garlic would accept bids for our players behind SD's back. Re: ALK Capital...
If indeed the Tarkowski story is true , we can ill afford such a vital player to have his mind anything other than 100% focussed. The ' one club ' mentality that has served us so well for so long appears to be severely strained to say the least
Re: ALK Capital...
Well they were strong rumours Tarky asked to be notified of any bids that came in for him, and also expressed his desire to leave should those bids have come from a few certain clubs.
It certainly would seem some of the rumours may have had some truth in them, as he has been removed as vice captain.
Maybe SD thought he might well have gone, or didnt like being told Tarky fancied moving on.

Re: ALK Capital...
If that had been the case then the Leicester press and journalists would have been all over the story, with photos to hand of him arriving and leaving.
Considering they weren't it's obvious that story wasn't true.

I can't remember our press ever putting up photos of targets going to Gawthorpe or Turf Moor.
Not even when we have interviewed managers.
Can you remember it ever happening anywhere?

After the lack of action at the last transfer window the sooner the uncertainty of this takeover has passed the better, then the club can move forwards with or without new owners.

Why did Tarks lose the vice captaincy if it wasn’t for the fact he was going to leave ?

Re: ALK Capital...
Westwood might have been offered the vice captaincy as part of his new deal.
Tarks I believe was 'desperate' to leave this last window. In recent press interviews Dyche has said that the flip side of not bringing anyone in is that the club are at least financially robust enough to turn down offers. Not sure if Leicester actually tabled one, I thought they deemed the asking price too high when compared to a 19 year old French defender.

No I can’t remember the last one , it has been a very long time indeed since any important business was conducted within a twenty mile radius of Turf Moor or Gawthorpe ..

A sad state of affairs if he was desperate to leave. If it is true, I hope we sell him in January and bring in players who want to play for the club. We've replaced players before and we can do it again.Cubanclaret wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 3:30 pmWestwood might have been offered the vice captaincy as part of his new deal.

Jack Cork was photographed at Manchester Airport on his way to sign but not by the press
Andre gray and arron lennon were both filmed by sky going for medicals in Manchester. Don't think local press have ever leaked anything

I like the notion that we agreed a fee, Tarks travelled to sign, we then changed our mind at the last minute and the story never broke in the media but a couple on here know about it
Even someone as out of the loop as Nixon would have got wind of that one

I would be absolutely flabbergasted to learn that a player (ANY player) had trained with a club he hadn't ACTUALLY signed for, however imminent that signing might seem. (Yes, Gibson trained for a while at Boro, but that was entirely different circumstances) It's got to be utter bobbins and as mentioned, it would DEFINITELY have been spotted and leaked by someone.

Probably what happens when someone thinks he knows something when he clearly doesn't
Re: ALK Capital...
It’s strange how some people are happy to believe spurious rumours from the likes of Nixon and other people in the media with so many so called insider contacts and moles at clubs
.....yet all these insiders mysteriously seemed to be disappear or developed dodgy eyesight when a 6 ft 5 England international with huge ears rocks up to train with a club to be potentially the most expensive signing in the clubs history !!

Being at the training ground, isn't training. Dawson was sat on our bench at the Preston pre-season friendly a few years ago, he didn't sign either.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 5:02 pmI would be absolutely flabbergasted to learn that a player (ANY player) had trained with a club he hadn't ACTUALLY signed for, however imminent that signing might seem. Whereas Tarks presence is by a couple of Burnley fans who also seem to know that our chairman accepted 2 bids and our manager had his bags packed.

We have one poster, who appears to receive inside information, stating a certain player is almost sold and another poster nameing a player, without any other information to back the statement up, assuming the player he has named is the same player that the original poster allures to.
It could, and in my opinion if true, have been Dwight, hence the new contract.

There is no doubt that Dwight earned a new contract given his importance to the teamNonayforever wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 6:32 pmWe have one poster, who appears to receive inside information, stating a certain player is almost sold and another poster nameing a player, without any other information to back the statement up, assuming the player he has named is the same player that the original poster allures to.

Maybe one or the criteria for the takeover is that SD remains manager, maybe that is the reason why Garlick didn't sell anyone because SD has him over a barrel, and maybe the reason we didn't buy anyone on the SD list.tit for tat.

This site has always been full of people doubting anything that gets put on here that doesn't become public knowledge to do with the club. Everything I put on here I believe to be true off people I trust but every single snippet one poster or another makes out it's bullshit or attention seeking.
The two bids accepted might be nonsense as like I said at the time it was 2nd hand info. But it all sort of makes sense with a good source on here telling us Tarky put in a transfer request, the poster who told us about the takeover first telling us he was almost gone.
Anyway it doesn't matter now as he is still here and the window is shut.
