All games televised on first weekend in October

Post by ClaretTony » Wed Sep 23, 2020 3:49 pm

Not confirmed as yet but looks as though all ten games on the first weekend in October will be televised with all of them on Sky or BT Sport.

Why are all our games on at 8pm? This will be the third in a row.

Erm, why are two thirds of our Premier League games 8pm?

Maybe, why are they all evening kickoffs?

Demand from foreign audiences will dictate kick off times.

Probably less money to pay back if we keep them sweet?

Decent point that! The Chinese deal favoured lunchtime KO's however with that up the swanny the PL will be fluttering its eyelashes Westerly towards the US, hence the later KOs

The rebate claims had already arrived before this announcement - revenues are going to be significantly down, and the value of deals for the next cycle are looking more compromised than ever, both domestically and internationally

I think it's because the games are 90 mins long, so those that start at 7pm haven't finished by 8pm. ;)

With the new pub times and regulations, maybe the 8pm kickoffs will be brought forward to 7pm.

Monday’s game between Liverpool and Arsenal has been brought forward from 20:15 to 20:00.

Let’s hope VAR don’t take their time.

Will be interesting if there's a few delays and the landlord tries to kick everyone out when we're defending a 1 goal lead in injury time!
