Really enjoyed that and so encouraging.

Good solid performance and great to see so many of the young lads that we have heard about in the under 23's come through.

Thought Dunne and Thomas were superb.
Benson looks feisty.
Glennon looks like he has real talent.
McNeil looked a bit out of his depth :)

Exciting to see our development. I know it was only a cup game and not advocating you chuck all the young lads in at once but in a team of experienced pro with 1 or 2 of the young lads thrown in then I don't think they would let you down.

Bobby Thomas and Jimmy Dunne imperious - first time I’ve seen Thomas but he was faultless, what a player he looks.

Benson busy, used the ball well throughout.

Glennon - only on the pitch 10 minutes or so but made a big impact. A galloper of a left back and what a superb cross for Wood.

We have some good uns coming! Let’s hope the Yanks don’t replace them all with Coutinho and Neymar.

C'mon you young Clarets.

Actually McNeil is the one player who is happy to pick the ball up in any situation, he takes a lot of responsibility for a 20 year old player. We have some half decent players coming through

Agree with Guller Bull, he knows his onions does that lad.

Really encouraging that they competed with Matt Smith who is a real handful, they kept him very quiet in the second half.

I'd add to that , although he didnt have much to do , Peacock-Farrell looked a safe pair of hands and did everything asked of him

Enjoyable game and good to see the young players grasp the opportunity. Controlled the game for large periods which was pleasing considering the side we put out.

Excellent but don’t forget it was “only Millwall” 😉😉.
Seriously must have been one of the best performances against a lower division side for ages. About time we showed our class.
The young ones did well

Bobby Thomas looks as if he could play in the championship this season off that performance . He and Dunne were brilliant. Benson gave a lot of fouls away in the first half due to his pressing but calmed down and played well, looks comfortable on the ball which is a good trait to have. Glennon produced a lovely cross when he came on which deserved a goal - some very good signs tonight from those young lads

At the moment it looks as if we can’t afford to loan them out  of course that could change in the next two weeks but the lot of them have their all and I can imagine if called upon during the seasons they’d be warriors as per the rest of the first team squad

Peacock-Farrell made a superb save too

Well that was a tenner well spent. Watched the game with my lads who loved the Brownhill strike and were amused by my enthusiasm for the outstanding Bobby Thomas. Was it too much to suggest a market value of £120m (Maguire plus Tarky)? He's 19 for flip's sake!

Leave him be, there’s always 1 & he doesn’t want to explain the odd comment, everybody else seems relatively upbeat, some people could win the lottery & wouldn’t be happy because it wasn’t a roll over.

I don't feel any more positive because I wasn't negative in the first place. I have faith in this club and its management.

All the young bucks did well, and it finally appears the academy is producing some real prospects, BPF was solid and the clean sheet will do him no harm.

Great strike by Brownhill, and another goal for Vyds, I thought we'd struggle with that line-up, but by and large we were comfortable.

Into the 4th round of the CC, that's not something we often achieve, and these type of games will tell us a lot more about our academy recruits, than any u23 matches can.

not a single one of those lads should go out on loan unless it's a Championship team. I personally wouldn't send Dunne or Benson out at all. Thomas was excellent, Matt Smith is probably the most awkward forward (in terms of strength and height) that they will likely face and they didn't give him much.

BPF looked good but needs to get his hair cut !
