I doubt I’ll be paying £10 for that one, although I have enjoyed the last two. I just hate playing them

don't know why people pay. The last 2 games have been on the net with free streams without problems. With it being City they'll be loads around on Reddit streams

I agree with all of that except, knowing me as I do, I suspect I will pay the £10 in hope more than expectation :D

City are our nemesis, worse than Arsenal, they should be called "Man City 5"

Be like paying someone a tenner to poke your own eyes out with a stick...

We've drawn two out of twelve Premier League games against Arsenal and lost ten. Against Manchester City we've won one, drawn three and lost eight.

City have also seen us off twice in the FA Cup during those seasons, the two recent FA Cup defeats against Arsenal have been in Championship seasons.

Neither good though and Pep's suggestion that he will be playing academy players wasn't exactly true. They started with Walker, Garcia, Rodri, Foden and Mahrez and brough Mendy, Sterling and De Bruyne on as subs.

CT. you’ve got the round numbers wrong in the article. This was round 3, we play city in round 4. Not 2&3

All the giddy excitement of getting this far in a cup competition I suppose. Thanks Rammy - all corrected now.

It’s £10 with money going back into the game. I could understand a free stream if the game wasn’t shown live.

Under the current circumstances I don’t think it’s a lot to ask, regardless of the money saved buying a ticket or travel it’s the cost of a pie, pint and a program.

Why not treat yourself and football?

Quite right. But folk will always pay for Prem teams even if they are neutrals. Every Burnley fan could not pay the tenner against city and I reckon everyone will see the game if they want for free. And if only 10 people paid they'd probably be the people streaming the game!! So don't worry and get 10 quid worth of drinks in and help the economy in other ways!!

I live abroad and can't get the game. Whilst we have been in The Prem I can count on one hand where a stream hasn't worked and missed some of it so I don't really see the point of paying. With the amount of money in the game at the top end from Sky & the rest of the world's media outlets I don't think they'll be that bothered about my non contribution. It hasn't stopped them growing the product that much.

I live abroad and can't get it. I'll give the money to the new Clarets+ service. Am I excused now? Am i a good fan now? Do you really think the money will go back into football where it is needed in these times? Or will it go to a service provider and some fat git executive chomping on expensive steaks and red wine. Come on.

For certain, the TV companies will prefer Liverpool v Arsenal and Btighton v Man U ahead of us. If Orient/Tottenham is played next week they might want that as well. How many games will they show?

You can't stream from carabao.live if you aren't in the UK.

What you can do is VPN in, pay for a ticket. Then at the time, VPN in again and watch the game.

You can pay by paypal, so it may even work with a non-UK paypal account. I can't say I tried a foreign one as I have my UK one still.

There was a fault with the stream that had the game stuck in a loop at half time for me, but apart from that it worked fine and was miles better than the annoying as hell, crap quality illegal streams.

Well worth the money imo. If anyone needs any help with it, let me know I'll be glad to help.

EDIT* closer to the time we will also know if overseas broadcasters will also show the games. ESPN hold the rights in the USA for example, if they choose this as one of their games you can watch it for free via a VPN with a weeks trial, or if you have problems with payment, you can buy a shared login on reddit or similar for a few dollars.

It only used to cost a tenner all in to get to Australia....I can understand your outrage if that's where you reside. :D

At least it's a home tie. Mind you. With no fans. I'm not sure that's an advantage any more. Getting to the last 16 is an achievement for us given our recent history in this competition.

I’m sure I’ll do the same come match day, it’s a little like when we used to play Blackburn, I hated it. Arsenal, surprisingly I’m not as fussed about as I do think we are close to beating them, but City is literally a training exercise for them usually, fingers crossed they have an off day!

Is anyone even excited by the prospect of a cup run if we can't go to any games? The whole thing just seems so empty and pointless. Imagine getting to the final and not being able to go.

I think the issue is when Arsenal beat us it’s usually by a solitary “lucky” last minute goal

When City beat us it’s usually by 3 or 4 (or at least feals like it)

To actually go to the game, tickets, Kettledrum and summat to eat, petrol, programme etc... £60 quid maybe... makes £10 cheap and who knows if your name is on the cup this year... even Burnley's...

You're not wrong, some people talk like they're giving to MacMillan Nurses or something. Football doesn't 'need' your money.. elite footballers, their agents and multi-million pound businesses do. If I can watch it for free - and I can - then that's what I'll do. Until we go 3-0 down anyway.

Whereas I'll pay full price for my kids at our non-league club because they genuinely do need the cash to keep all their community junior sides going.

Only had one big defeat against Arsenal in the last four years - against City it is, as you say, most games. The last three at the Etihad have all been 5-0.

'Nothing is written.' I've been a fan so long I remember when Aston Villa were supposedly our 'bogey team.' We seem to have forgotten that for years we could never beat that lot down the road but we never hear a mention of it now.
Manchester City are favorites to win because they have better players but past results are no guarantee of success. Didn't City lose to Norwich last season in a PL game? I forget the score (3-0) I think, but whatever they are beatable. Unlikely but Nothing is Written.

Only at Villa Park though. When Villa won here on New Year's Day it was their first league win at the Turf since 1936.

Our record against them between those defeats was: played 24, won 18, drawn 6.

You would hope that with 3 days until Newcastle we would play a full strength side and give it a go, with three months to the quarters and no midweek games until December (United rearrangement unknown). Also, the “big six” keep on drawing each other so there is a good chance of avoiding one until the final.

Sadly, I don’t expect that. Not under Dyche.

Also a shame fans aren’t allowed in. For all the talk of City in cups, they have been away, at home under the lights with a full house it could have been belting. Now, I would expect even a weakened City to win in an empty stadium with their players nicely rested.
