Ashley Westwood....
Re: Ashley Westwood....
First player on the team sheet for me. The standard of his performances has got better over the years. A bargain at £3m in view of the current climate. Be interesting to see how his partnership with Stephens develops. And he comes across as being down to earth and respectful about the club and his profession. And he likes his cups of tea like I do. Top man.

Re: Ashley Westwood....
I think what some maybe fail to appreciate is that if you secure the services of proven quality players at this level, like Westwood and Cork, then it provides the breathing space to nurture and develop the emerging talent that we've had a glimpse of this week
It's a far more considered way of bringing the age of the squad down, longer term, than casting off consistently good performers who still have plenty to offer purely because they are on or around their 30s

Did great today with McNeil today winding up Xhaka. Always a sending off waiting to happen. Dirty, aggressive plank.

Re: Ashley Westwood....
Credit to Ashley he was at fault for Everton's equaliser last week. but he stepped up tonight, and crucially delivered the all important corner which led to our goal. A vital cog in our machine, and another who's invaluable mainly because he's rarely injured.

Re: Ashley Westwood....
The highlight for him was getting the guy sent off and the corner for the own goal, other than that he was quite, like he has been all season.
Westwood as been looking off the pace and we need Cork back to give us competion for places in centre mid

Re: Ashley Westwood....
Has Westwood really only got two yellow cards so far this season? I had a feeling he was walking a tightrope (4) and have checked to find out many sites state he only has two which I was surprised about (and delighted if true).
