Positive
Think I even mentioned it when he thought doing the business end if the season with 2 midfielders was a good idea.

Well saidJenny55 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:34 amReality check needed guys. We owe our continued spell in the Premier League to Dyche and our ability to resolutely defend. When we are missing arguably one of the best centre half pairings in the division we will struggle. This pairing give confidence to the rest of the team. We don’t have the flair players at the other end and Dwight is off his game at the moment which can be expected of a young lad. He isn’t going to deliver every week. I don’t know if Tarks is leaving, however I think if the bid is up by another ten million we will lose him. Then we need to get Ben back ASAP and see if he can build another effective centre half pairing with Dunne or Long or an incoming player. It ain’t looking too good at present but remember we are only two games in.
We might be only 2 games in but look at the fixtures after the next 2 and tell me what you would feel like if we lose the next 2 PL games.Jenny55 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:34 amReality check needed guys. TBH if we lose the next two league games and Tarks has gone and our injury ravaged squad hasn’t been bolstered then I won’t feel too good. Ordinarily these are two games we would reasonably expect to get at least four points from. I’m not too optimistic but let’s wait and see.summitclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:47 amWe might be only 2 games in but look at the fixtures after the next 2 and tell me what you would feel like if we lose the next 2 PL games.
We are at risk of self destruction. Does Garlick not get that the amount he will get for the Club is dropping by the game. Far better to have replaced Gibson before the season started.
agree. What we saw yesterday was exactly what the Brighton fans said we would getQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:46 amHe is, but he had stats of 90% short passing accuracy at Brighton.
I know every premier league player should have that and it sounds easy but they don't.
We had 7 players injured. Had they not been injured, the bench would have been chockablock.
I'm just saying that appears to be completely ignored, like it doesn't matter.Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:21 pmCome on Frank, how many have been injured for months and two others likely to break down
Like what, spend £100 mil!
Who, City!
Who then?
So after 2 games and with 7 injured players, you're writing us off! Some supporter!
And there lies our problem Frank, squad isn't strong enough to carry any injuries.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 6:56 pmWe had 7 players injured. Had they not been injured, the bench would have been chockablock.
Is it strong enough to carry injuries. Just not 7.
Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:32 pmWho has written us off, as the manager says we need ACTION
You're missing my point. Sure, we need a couple of new signings. But we didn't have 7 out.
No subs used last night, the manager is doing thatFactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:40 pmYou're missing my point. Sure, we need a couple of new signings. But we didn't have 7 out.
It's making things appear worse than what they are.
Like I've said - we've been very unfortunate with injuries and if you took normalisation into account, we wouldn't have 7 out, thus, have more options from the bench.
I think some people think footballers are on PAYE... if they are not playing we do not have to cover wages. If we are talking to top targets it stands to reason they keep their options open... if you bring in less desirables fine but that takes some of the budget from ‘top’ targets... the fact the DS arrives should tell people Garlick realised we needed to get bodies in... he is hoping it’s only one from the ‘long term’ vault, so he is not landed paying fringe players top dollar for years. I like to see links, but I’m not in the least surprised with our lack of activity to this point. Nor SD trying to gee up better offers to swing deals.....FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:52 pmLike I've said - we've been very unfortunate with injuries and if you took normalisation into account, we wouldn't have 7 out, thus, have more options from the bench.
So who do you think wanted to give Brady a new deal? who chooses our players?Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:00 pmIts only the Toe and Jay that we are unfortunate about, the others have been months and the two wingers have been suspects for the last 18 months or so
We'll have to disagree then. Ben Mee has played most games for us, and it was a first choice of Barnes and Wood not so long ago.Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:00 pmIts only the Toe and Jay that we are unfortunate about, the others have been months and the two wingers have been suspects for the last 18 months or so
Barnes has been out for 9 monthsFactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:05 pmWe'll have to disagree then. Ben Mee has played most games for us, and it was a first choice of Barnes and Wood not so long ago.
So are you saying that we should be signing replacements for 5 injured players?Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:00 pmIts only the Toe and Jay that we are unfortunate about, the others have been months and the two wingers have been suspects for the last 18 months or so
You suggested Ben Mee was always injured. That's simply not true.
I think that's exactly what he's saying.
You're getting silly now! When/where has he said that we need 5 signings?
No of course not, Gibson would still be here, but it has been monthsFactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:08 pmYou suggested Ben Mee was always injured. That's simply not true.
we needed attacking subs, not a single kid on our bench has kicked a ball in the PL.
Yes, he would still be here but for the manager wanting shut of him.Wokingclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 8:11 pmNo of course not, Gibson would still be here, but it has been months
Re-read what you said when I asked if we then needed to sign 5 - Don't listen to me, read and listen to the manager.
