Problem is not many young players establish themselves in the premier league until 22+
Yes, it's a rarity, basically. We can't blame the board for it.

I think there's a very simple explanation as to why they haven't featured more - they aren't good enough.

It's easy for fans to say that players should feature more, especially when McNeil managed to come through and set things on fire, but from what I've seen, from what friends have seen at the 'reserve' games, they just aren't good enough.

You can't force what isn't there. One thing I've learned with social media and on here - there's an awful lot of Burnley fans who liken it to a computer game. Where it's literally as simple as taking a player out and replacing him with a younger player - or selling someone and bringing someone in at the drop of a hat.

It doesn't work like that.
In which case the recruitment is even more vital now

Seems to me like two different departments.

We must have people working on the youth and a different section working on the scouting of first team players.

Agreed, either way, if the kids aren't good enough to be on the bench then they shouldn't be. If a couple of them are then bloody awesome and get them on the bench - either way, Dyche is asking for players for a reason and he is the man the majority of us seem to trust so not sure why that trust should waiver on this topic

We had 7 players injured. Had they not been injured, the bench would have been chockablock.
Nonsense, we’ve knew about these injuries before the window opened.

Nonsense.
Nope. Had those 7 players not been injured, we would have filled the bench.

What about the players who have left? Why no replacements for them, they've known about it long enough!

So from page two onwards we have the very definition of a happy clapper and someone who changes their opinion more times than their underwear. I'll let you decide who these two are :P
