Handyman needed
Handyman needed
I’m looking for a handyman, Burnley/Rossendale area. Probably 1 or 2 days work, just odd jobs around the house.
Can anybody recommend anybody?

Re: Handyman needed
I think the OP is after a non-binary person who is good with tools or at least used to be, depending on their mood.

This...
OP your post is very problematic and reinforces gender stereotypes. This type of thing does incredible damage to women and girls.

What if the person doesn't have hands? Would that make you hand-ist?

I'm not sure I'm too happy with person, why should the word son be used over daughter, it's as though girls are inferior to their male counterparts.
It has to be Isle of People.

Try One Stop services in burnley - Gannow lane I think.
Always found them pretty quick and reasonable in price.

Re: Handyman needed
There was a time when people asked for advice and help on this board they would get just that. Some totally unnecessary posts on this thread and I think some of you need to take a long look at yourselves because you are simply ruining this message board.

Re: Handyman needed
It might be to some but to the people looking for advice it might well not be. I asked for some advice recently for something and the nonsense on the thread made it impossible. There was a time when I'd have got the advice without having to trawl through nonsense.

Is it just me who got the Peep show reference then?

Dave from Colne ( Dave B Handyman) is a good bloke. Telephone is 07776 077724. Has a facebook page you can take a look at.
Re: Handyman needed
Ok, serious attempt at a reply.
Lancashire County Council runs a database of work people of many descriptions...roofers, glaziers, appliance repairers etc etc...it's called Safe Traders....that said when I was looking on there recently for someone to do a bathroom spruce up....I did struggle!

2 posts deleted now by he who must be obeyed at a guess. Both totally harmless.
It is truly pathetic that a bit of ribbing gets this sort of response.
It’ll be a ban after this I’m sure of that

Re: Handyman needed
Because when you want advice and see that your thread has answers you go in to expect advice and possible builders/tradespeople but instead you find the usual people talking crap. Try the Lancashire County Council safe traders website.
