Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
exactly as expected, nothing much of interest, Pence just full of hot air and waffle but did more than enough to continue to alienate every woman not in Trump's base by completely disrespecting both the women on stage. Harris wasn't one thing nor another which is what she needed to be.

There's a non-zero chance he actually orders their arrest. He's in so much trouble this election he might actually attempt it.

it was ok, for me it gave some info on what you could expect from both parties regarding big ticket items but I think most people new that anyhow so definitely not an eye opener, first time I have really seen KH, she came across well. I certainly don't think MP was offensive to either women but certainly droned on a little to much, no particularly point scoring regarding changing hearts and minds that's for sure.

He's probably on a toxic mixture of steroids, over-fawning sycophants, and good old-fashioned panic.
The stuff he's doing gets more bizarre by the day, even by his own twisted standards.

Not the vibe I'm getting at all
Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
Overall the debate wasn't the feisty affair i thought it was going to be but as expected the pro riot cheerleader for communist China and pro kung flu Horrible Harris was playing the race card a lot and even going on about George fentanyl Floyd at one point.
In contrast Pence held up well, he was dignified, respectful, authoritative and presidential sounding, perhaps would make a good president should anything happen to the Donald.

Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
no not really I didn't, also I noted this mentioned in the after discussion between teams, a couple mentioned it, so not saying no one will be offended by it, other women mentioned it as not offensive, it's the usual of we all have different perspectives and opinions. There were definitely times I wanted MP to be quiet/shut up and move on but not that it offended me or would influence what I heard or my thoughts in regard to the election.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 4:53 pmso you don't think that Pence constantly ignoring the moderator and talking over her and Harris offended women ?

Trump is refusing to do a virtual debate next week, maybe he should have worn a mask

Has anyone seen the super spreader since he was struggling to breathe on the balcony the other day?
He’s been banging on randomly on twitter by all accounts and given an incredibly bizarre interview to Fox but has he been out and about?

I believe he phoned into Fox News this morning to tell them that he is so opposed to remote communication that he refuses to attend the next debate because it will involve telephony. Or something.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 6:16 pmHas anyone seen the super spreader since he was struggling to breathe on the balcony the other day?

Well, well, well.
Seems Regeneron that was given to Donald Trump was developed using fetal tissue from an abortion.
Such vile hypocrisy from him and his evangelical supporters:

Basically they are totally against abortion, unless it cures them of the Coronavirus!

Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
Mad Nancy appears to have given up on the idea of removing Trump democratically.
Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
Probably because he can do it himself within the next few weeks. Even some Republicans are starting to turn against him.
The Senate looked out of reach a few weeks ago for the Democrats, but because of Donald many safe Republican seats are now in danger.
Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
Yeah thats exactly why they are looking at technicalities to remove him without asking the electorate

Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
The Constitution is the The Constitution regardless of how close it is to an election, and the appropriately designated people using a clause from it as written can never be undemocratic.

Anyway, it won't happen and even talking about underhanded devices like this will galvanise support.
Reminds me of the Gina Millar case over here

Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
It won't happen because she's not trying to do it. Even if it did happen, it would mean that Trump was temporarily removed from his executive duties...and they were handed to Pence. It's something that could become appropriate given the President's diagnosis, but currently the suggestion that Pelosi is doing something "undemocratic" or really even doing something at all is incorrect.
It is designed as a news story to galvanise support and unfortunately you have fallen for it.
I don't really understand why potentially following The Constitution is only democratic on a technicality but that doesn't seem like something worth discussing.
Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
I'd be interested to know from those belittling Nancy Pelosi what it is they find objectionable about her. I've had a look through her history and she seems pretty sound to me.

Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
That's not true. Pelosi is proposing a commission to be a part of the decision on 25A being used. She's not trying to personally remove Trump using 25A, she basically thinks Pence should use it.
A commission on this would be good. It obviously has no time to pass before the election, and the republicans probably wouldn't go with it even if it did. But regardless, I think its a terrible take to think it's an attempt to remove him undemocratically. Clearly it's not.

Yes, because there are two kinds of people in the USA at the moment. People who want trump to be president, and people who want ANYONE else to be president.PeterWilton wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 10:16 pmThat's not true. He has no chance of winning the election, but he has a fair chance of stealing it by rigging the electoral college in a way that it ignores the popular vote in certain battleground states.

not asking the electorate to vote on a new judge despite them all saying previously they should.........
if this was Biden as President I'd want him booted for being completely incoherent.
Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
Not logical. You can be opposed to the death of someone or something, and still be willing to accept a transplant from it. If you are opposed to euthanasia, does that make you a hypocrite for accepting an eye transplant from the dead person?Spijed wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 12:40 pmWell, well, well.

Anyway, I think "mild hypocrisy" might be more appropriate. Hypocrisy comes in much, much viler forms than that.

Re: The Bud Fight, sorry Presidential Debate
Not at all. A member of Trump's legal team has already stated that that's the plan.
And what "excuse" so you think I'm getting in? I'm saying Biden is going to win but that Trump's only chance is if he literally bypasses the popular vote to steal electoral college votes. This isn't something that can be an " excuse". If he did that it would be visible. We would know it happened.
If I was going to come up with "excuses" I'd point to all the voter suppression going on, but Trump is losing so badly that even that won't be enough.

One of alleged plotters, 23-year-old Daniel Harris, attended a Black Lives Matter protest in June, telling the Oakland County Times he was upset about the killing of George Floyd and police violence.

One of the suspects in a plot to kidnap and kill Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is an anarchist who called President Trump an “enemy” and a “tyrant.”
Social-media posts by Brandon Caserta — who faces 19 felony charges, including state terrorism counts — show the man excoriating Mr. Trump while sitting in front of an anarchist flag.
